Yes, they are a hard plastic with a matte finish (not a slick surface).

Wash with soap and water, dry, then de-grease with a mild oil-free solvent, like alcohol. Spray on a primer coat using a primer designed for plastic, let dry, then then apply your chosen color, preferably an enamel.

If you're in a real hurry, wash and dry then spray on your chosen color paint and let dry.

I do not see why not. The are molded out of plastic. The surface needs some adequate preparation. Try your paint on some HDPE or PVC surface previously treated with a primer for plastics. I plan to do the same in the spring, with a glossy white paint (spray), to match my desk small speakers.

Don't see any reason why they couldn't. They're smooth textured and ought to look good. They're small enough, though, that they're pretty unobtrusive berneath my 8" speakers, so painting might not be necessary.

Yes - but use a paint with some flexibility as these are rubber and will flex a little.

You probably want to prime them first with something designed for rubber material.

Good solution for desk top speakers to get tweeters aimed at ears

Work pretty good. They are hollow which was a surprise. Work better than what I had rigged up. Would have like better if they were solid or were somehow filled with sand. My desk top speakers are fairly large with an odd shape, taper from front to back. Width is probably twice what the width of the riser is and it still works although a little wobbly.
