Is there an app and IP control of this unit? or is it like the 6 zone that doesn't allow that yet?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, thank you for your inquiry. It does not have a dedicated app or IP control for its functions, but you can integrate it with a compatible RS-232 to IP adapter and set up a custom control interface.

There are few apps that can control it, none of them are perfect. I have recently added the IP adapter and all of the controls show up in my Home Assistant setup and you can control the unit independent of the in wall keypads.

What is the idle watts consumption of the unit? Is it possible to set it up with a trigger to only turn on when the source turns on to save power?

There are 12 Volt Trigger Outputs for each distribution zone, plus a master trigger for the entire system, enabling automated devices like projection screens or lighting to activate when the system or an individual zone is activated. Hi, I am interested in this monoprice 8 zone amp. Two oudated features makes me think. Is it cimpatible only up to cat6 and not cat7? And are going to adopt BT6.x support any time soon?

Then, what size back box does the wall controller require and the same for BT input? I need to put some PU foam pieces into concrete pour to leave it open for these.
