I purchased these from Amazon it says "Note that this cable is NOT bidirectional. It only converts HDMI signals to a DisplayPort signal for use with a DisplayPort monitor or video connectivity device, such as a matrix, splitter, or switch." These do not work going from a display port graphics card to a HDMI TV.
What is it really suppose to be?

It is important to note that this cable is unidirectional, meaning it can only connect a DisplayPort® source to an HDMI® display. It is not designed to connect an HDMI‑equipped computer or video source to a DisplayPort display. Please ensure that you are using the cable in the correct configuration to avoid any connectivity issues.

It only works FROM displayport output (video card) TO HDMI display (TV or monitor - or Monoprice HDMI switch :-) ).

I am using them now, in my current setup, and they work better than others I have used. I only wish they had longer lengths since I keep my computers under the desk.

Its Display port to HDMI display meaning to a television with HDMI, monitor with HDMI, any display you using with an HDMI input

I have this cable connected from the Display Port on my 7900 XTX to the HDMI port of my TV, and it works just fine. I don't know what Amazon is on about, it works fine in the way that I'm using it.

Does not seem to work for a PS5 going into a Alienware AW3423DWF. Not sure if cable is bad or not compatible?

BEST ANSWER: Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. This is a single direction cable designed to go from a DisplayPort Source to an HDMI display. For a PS5 you would need either a bi-directional DisplayPort to HDMI cable or one that goes from HDMI source to DisplayPort display.

Worked Perfect

Solved my old-GPU-to-new-atV problem. RX480 (HDMI 2.0b or DP 1.4a) to Hisense U7K 55" (HDMI 2.1). Ran into all kinds of incompatibility issues with any cable or port combo until I tried this. Works like a charm and the max bandwidth the card can deliver. VRR works but Windows 10 HDR can be finicky.
