Can all three inputs be used simulataneously?

BEST ANSWER: I am using the HDMI and USB-A inputs simultaneously. From my experience, it seems the USB-C input can only be used for a power input, my laptop cannot see any USB device connected to this port. I have not attempted to use it as a power input.

This is an output device, not an input device. Using a USB 3.0 connector on your laptop/PC, this will allow you do preserve that 3.0 USB port as well as provide USB-C and HDMI output from your computer. It's not an input dongle.

I've never used all three at the same time, but I can't imagine why not. I have used the USB A port and the power delivery, and they've worked flawlessly.

Is it compatible with Microsoft Surface and iPhone 12 pro?

BEST ANSWER: For Surface, it would need to have a USB-C port, which is relatively new for Surface. Works great on my Surface Laptop 4.
As far as the iPhone 12, that is still a Lightning connector - so it wouldn’t work. Might work on an iPad with USB-C, but not an iPhone 12.

It has a USB-C connector so it cannot connect to the iPhone 12 and it depends on the Microsoft Surface version, new ones have USB-C ,older ones only USB 2 or 3.

It's compatible with the Surface, but not iPhone. For the iPhone, look for something with a "Lightning" connector.

Will it work with an android phone?

BEST ANSWER: That totally depends on whether your Android phone supports video out via USB-C. My Android phone from 2018 does not, but more recent, premium phones are more likely to work.

BEST ANSWER: No, these adapters don't work with the Switch in my experience. You'll probably want to look for something that specifically advertises Switch compatibility in the description.

Very good adaptor
Works very well. We can connect it to MA's ipad via the USB-C port and connect via HDMI to TV to view photos, etc.
If it also connected to HDMI via the standard USB port (type A, maybe?) it would be 5 stars.

Working well for me
The adapter is working well for me. I am NOT using it as a charging pass through though. It only has an HDMI monitor and a keyboard (connected through a K/M switch) connected to it.
