Can you rotate the monitors to switch between landscape and portrait mode?

on Dec 3, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the stand has the range of motion to do this in either direction, but does not have notches any angle, so you'll just have to eyeball it.

Are you able to stack two 34" monitors vertically with this mount?
A shopper
on Nov 28, 2022
BEST ANSWER: I can barely stack two 27" monitors vertically, and I still have an overlap of about an inch. The arms would not extend high enough or low enough to allow for the additional space needed for larger monitors. A different mount would be better for you if vertical stacking was going to be your primary arrangement.

No, I'm afraid not. I have a pair of 32" monitors and just tried it. They overlap by 4", so your 34" monitors would overlap even more....
You could, however, rotate both monitors by 90 degrees and keep them side-by-side if your video card would support that configuration.

BEST ANSWER: From the installing instructions, it is not recommended to align the arms outside of a certain swivel angle, so I don't think it's possible to position them in a way to align the monitors on top of each other.

If you have small monitors, you can stack them vertically. I have two 27" monitors and I can't stack them vertically because the arms don't reach high enough.

What is the maximum desk thickness?
A shopper
on Aug 19, 2022
BEST ANSWER: 3 inches.
I measured 2.5 inches from the top of the desk to the bottom of the clamp while the bracket is in the shortest slot. This is not including the adjustable metal clamp. You can expand the bracket another inch. 3.5 inches is the absolute maximum but realistically it is 3 inches.

Can you adjust the tension for the rotation? This would be the tension to hold it level in either landscape or portrait view. From my experience it is not adjustable, it is a large rivet, and it will not hold your own Dark Matter Monitors level in portrait view, it will just tilt 15˚off center to whichever side of the monitor is heavier. This a fatal flaw in design.

I am looking at this mount for dual 34" monitors in portrait layout. The Specs say that the max monitor weight is 33lbs. Is that 33 per arm or 33 total? I am working with touchscreen monitors that are 27lbs each.

What is the maximum width between the arms from side to side? The description says that the only limitation is the weight. That said, will the arms spread wide enough to hold the 35in Zero-G Curved Gaming Monitor (Product Number 38035) side-by-side with no overlap?

Almost Perfect
I have two 27" monitors that I put on this for a standing desk. I mounted it using the option to drill through the desktop and bolt through the provided plate. The assembly is very study except for the quick connect plate. This is a small bit that allows the VESA mount to be bolted to your monitor and then clip into place on the arm. It's a good design, but the tolerance on the plate is too loose and the monitor can rotate a few degrees. It's only noticeable when you adjust the position of the monitors, and there's no chance that the monitor would fall, but it is slightly annoying. There are two parts that I wish were painted black like the rest of the arms, which are the upper cable management cover, which is clear, and the bolt plate, which is galvanized steel. I painted the plate black myself and may paint the cable covers at some later point.
Being able to rotate the monitors any time is great and the height adjustment is almost essential for a standing desk. And if I feel like leaning back in my chair, I can pull a monitor forward and angle it down towards me. The cable management will let my desk be almost wire free when I'm done with it. I would absolutely buy this again.

Good but not quite perfect, for me...
Simply due to my space constraints the only way I can get the two monitors side by side like I want/need places them 12" to 14" closer to me than I'd like. I don't even know if it exists but a mount with one of the two arm sections that could telescope in or out would be perfect.

A great spring mount
The mount is of great quality and feels very premium and heavy-duty compared to other mounts I used to use (that's not to say the other mounts don't do the job as well). The arms themselves are quite heavy and sturdy. The springs are smooth and the space savings on the table are great.
Echoing another 5-star review:
- Very easy to install
- cable management is appreciated, but in my personal setup I wasn't able to take much advantage of it since it adds another 2-3 feet of the cable length requirement (maybe good to invest in longer cables esp for standing desks)
- desk bracket has two heavy-duty screws and feels very secure
Some of the cons I noticed:
- the vesa mount (which is supposed to go onto the monitor before attaching it to the arms) feels a bit loose in the arm adding a tiny bit extra movement, especially on heavier screens which is a bit tricky when first aligning the screens
- Depending on your setup you may have the arms reach back quite far causing your desk to be farther from the wall than it may normally be
Overall I'm very happy with this mount.

A Nice Improvement Over Similar Mounts
Backstory. I had two single arm mounts before this. One for home and one for work with both having a 34-inch ultrawide attached. When those worlds collided, both ended up on my home desk. One of the mounts is a Monoprice 15526. I liked everything about that mount except the height. It has a max height of 20 inches. My monitors have high VESA mounts making it closer to the table. It was not making the cut especially when I elevated my desk to work while standing. My other monitor mount had no problems with height as it had three sections (hint hint Monoprice) which also helps trim down the ?elbow? space needed.
On my quest to find a replacement monitor mount I found the 43449. No reviews and only scant specs which is disappointing as the 15526 mount?s product page has a lovely picture showing all the dimensions and range of motion (different manufacturer?). After thinking about it for a week or two I took the gamble and hoped it would be meet my needs (spoiler: it does).
Pros
? Installation was quick and easy.
? The cable management has a clean look.
? The desk bracket is secure even without drilling holes.
? Kept the same slotted monitor bracket making it easy to add or remove a monitor.
? Arm movement is fluid and can reach up to 23 inches high from base to middle of monitor bracket.
? Everything feels well built especially the spring section.
? There is a cute little Allen wrench holder on the back of the base.
Cons
? Lack of dimensions on product page (07/2022). I cannot fathom why.
? Takes quite a bit of effort to adjust the tension. Given the weight it can support this is understandable. The screw holding the transparent cable tray took effort to take off and I had to switch to a big handle screwdriver. I am being nitpicky here, but this might prove to be a challenge for someone.
I am extremely happy with this product. I wish more monitor mounts had an option to get an additional section if they can manage it. I hope this review helps someone make an informed decision about whether to buy or not. -NH
