Why does it look like the coax connectors are BNC connectors? How do I connect the RG6 F connector to this thing?

BEST ANSWER: With just the SLIGHTEST bit of effort, one would conclude that an F-Type to BNC connector would be needed, or a cable with F-Type on one end, and BNC on the other. This is pretty basic. Read more. Don't be lazy.

They are BNC Connectors. You have to use BNC ends or use Coax to BNC adaptors. With that said I was not able to get this Extender to work. Even after using two different units.

This seems like such a simple solution to very long HDMI cables,….is there any downside? One coax cable with these at each end? Seems too good to be true….

BEST ANSWER: I mentioned in another answer that I couldn't get this to work in my case. It worked fine on the bench with a relatively short (12') cable, but wouldn't work room-to-room through my walls. That said I inherited what is in there, so I can't speak to the robustness of the existing coax. I think it's worth a try if you have a specific application, but it does seem more fragile than a direct HDMI connection.

BEST ANSWER: Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. This would only work with RG-6 Coax with BNC connectors, it would not work with F-Type Connectors.

Can you use the Blackbird HDMI extender with a coaxial splitter to different TV’s? Or does it require a straight run no breaks ?
