BEST ANSWER:I have a 34" monitor on this mount and it's just about fully extended. I just measured it and it's very close to 18" away from the wall. I'd imagine if I straightened it completely, it'd be close to 18 1/2", maybe a smidge less. I know it's not exact but that's my best guess.

As I said in the title, I wish I had purchased this mount for my other TVs in the house. Installation was a breeze. Definitely make sure to attach it to a wall stud because it is quite hefty even without a TV mounted. Cable routing is simple and the full motion is awesome. Heartily recommend.

TV Mount
This mount is very universal. I used it for a 40 inch TV and a 32 inch tv. Worked out great with full motin and angles.
