Really pleased with this unit's ability to store record albums in plastic sleeves on the bottom shelf and that you can easily replace the plastic feet with anything that has an M8 thread and can hold the weight (I.e. carpet spikes). Wire management could be better but it's pretty easy to trunk what you need behind the support columns. Also, you can add to it if you need to by buying a second unit of identical size and adding either the 9" or 13" supports and shelves. If you think you will want to grow the rack with your system or collection, buy TWO identical units. Monoprice doesn't sell the shelves as an add on kit, but if you pick this up on the right sale, you'll get two complete racks for what others typically charge for two add-on shelves.

An unbelievable value; strong, sturdy and very nice looking! I've told several of my audiophile friends about these shelves. As a bonus it's nice that they are made in Taiwan, and not China, and the quality shows.

I'd been searching for years for a sold and affordable double-wide audio rack, until I stumbled upon the Monolith on the inter-web. This rack is simply outstanding in every way! It's very easy to assemble, the shelves and poles are solid, and the espresso finish is nice and smooth with no scratches so far. It's also adjustable, in that you can place the longer poles on top, as another reviewer did. I built it in standard configuration to store extra records (holds about 110 per side). It even includes a steel lip that secures to the bottom shelf so records won't slide out the back -- very nice touch! It would be nice if additional shelves and pole sizes were available, but otherwise it's perfect.

Honey, there's a large package at the front door entrance. I can't move It. Yowza what a phenomenal Av stand. Very dense heavy shelving. No worries about bowing. Steel supportive columns. Excellent depth for Hi-Fi gear.

Looks great! Built rock solid! Very heavy duty, matches my monolith 4 tier stands which are just as impressive!
