Does this screw into the wall? Or will the whole thing come out when I pull a plug out of the adapter?

BEST ANSWER: It doesn't screw into the wall or outlet. When unplugging a cord, I hold the edge of the adapter to ensure I don't unplug it with the power cord.

This device does not screw into the center of the receptacle. On the back it has one plug plus a plastic pin that inserts in the lower outlet’s grounded. How well the receptacle holds this device when a plug is removed is controlled by the quality of the receptacle.

It does not screw into the wall. The plug attaches securely to the outlet, but it may require two hands to unplug a grounded plug. As with most things, it's a matter of degrees.

This does not screw in. If you pull the plug out of the adapter then it is susceptible to fall out. I haven't had that happen yet, but it is a possibility.

It does not screw in, so you take you chances. If you remove the plate, it's really quite secure. If you must keep the plate on, it does get a bit tipsy

Does this support USB-C PPS?
Howard L
on Apr 15, 2022
BEST ANSWER: "Power Delivery is designed to allow devices to fast-charge over a USB connection. Its newest version, PD 3.0, is one of the most popular fast charging protocols. PPS is the latest addition to the PD 3.0 standard. PPS and PD protocols work seamlessly together. PPS allows for renegotiation of non-standard currents and voltages between the charger and the device. "
This is spec'd as PD 3.0, so the answer is yes, if they're truthin'.

looking at specs: lists standard currents and voltages, no mention of pps; renegotiation of non-standard currents and voltages between the charger and the device is not listed, only standards.

Does this provide surge protection for the AC outlets and USB ports?
A shopper
on May 8, 2023
BEST ANSWER: I don't see in the specifications that the AC ports (3-prong NEMA) are protected with surge protection. However, the DC-power USB Type C ports are protected from "over current, over voltage, overload, short circuit, and over temperature circuits" and "built‑in overload, short circuit, overcurrent, power spike, power fluctuation, and noise filtration circuits."
