Is this compatible with rj45 plugs?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, Cat8 is just a more powerful rj45 wire. You need a certain version of the RJ45 Male plug to get it working though because the wires are thicker but the plug itself is exactly the same as a Cat5 would be. You get very low latency with this wire and very high speed throughput.

Yes, The jacks that I have used are an all metal (shielding) and do not require a punch down tool to use.
Monoprice does not carry them but you can find them on Amazon along with the keystone jacks.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, it has a thick outer shield making it a lot more rigid than cat 5 or 6.

I see references to Monoprice Cat8 bulk spools of 1000ft, but this product page only shows an option for 250ft. Is the 1000ft length available now or soon?

One Major Flaw...

Seems to be a solidly built cable. One major flaw is that there is no "striped" color conductor - the plain white ones braided with the sold color is the corresponding striped color. This is not a problem until you untwist the pairs and the solid white conductors all look the same....
