Why does description say tableTop is MDF (basically heavy particle board- bad for this) and specs say it I'd aluminum and a reviewer says it is plastic that bubbles up? What's the real story?

BEST ANSWER: Just bought this and have it set up outside in the backyard. The tabletop we have is not MDF, feels like aluminum, very thin. Don't see any bubbling and this has been exposed to heat and rain now. FYI, the size of this is better for children than adults.

Overall, if I were to describe this to family/friends, I'd generally say it's aluminum. (Importantly, it's not going to support my weight, but for my kids it's fine.) As for the table, I didn't notice any plastic or MDF feel to the table... didn't think too much about it really... but I've only taken it out to the beach once and it was great!

The two table top halves are MDF and the table top frame, seats, & legs are aluminum. The plastic parts are the pieces that keep the legs locked in the unfolded position. We've only used it twice and so far it's held up to the kids use of it. I don't recommend putting anything hot on the table top or to let it get left out in a rain.

The top appears to be a laminated surface. It is hard and smooth. The table itself is great for kids, and easy to set up and take down. It is not meant to be left out in the weather. (probably why it bubbled) It can be used indoors or out. It's a great portable table for kids.

Are the tops of the seats aluminum or plastic?

BEST ANSWER: Seats are aluminum but the table top is plastic which bubbles up in day one. Overall its too small. Not a good decision.

Where can I find an umbrella that will fit the hole?

BEST ANSWER: Rite Aid has the smaller "beach" style umbrellas. I was able to fit one of the smaller Ikea umbrellas in it after I took out the plastic ring that comes with it.

What is the weight limit on chairs? It does say 50lb for table top but no information regarding chair weight capacity.

Love it!
It's quality is great. It's light enough that my kid can carry it, but durable enough for lots of use. It was easy to set up. It took less than 5 minuets.

Not stable enough for adults.
It's pretty cool actually, BUT, I wouldn't put four adults on it. Seems more for kids. Not sturdy enough for grown ups.

Nice Portable Table for Kids
Tables are nice, a little small for adults to sit comfortably. Major issue is shipping damage with hole punched through table top surface during transit. Carefully inspect upon receipt and consider having tables come to you, not sent to family as a gift!
