We have a very large media/game room (18x27x12) with the couch sitting at about the middle of the room with a Monoprice 16" sub directly behind it. The base is easy to identify as coming from behind the couch and there isn't a happy medium in such a large room -- it's either barely noticeable or in-your-face depending on where the gain is set. My question is, will adding a pair of the M-10's at the front of the room help balance it out?

Thse things are an amazing deal. Let me just start by saying that my main system subs are dual svs pb 4000's paired with some bowers and wilkins cm 8 towers cm center and cm bookshelves for my Rear channels so I am no stranger to excellent sound quality. I bought dual m 10's for a secondary system that I have for a gaming system paired with some emotiva t2 + towers and matching center and rears . I am using an onkyo rz830 which is thx certified so I thought the thx m 10's would suffice. The subs gloss finish was impressive and I was pleased to see balanced connections in back. I connected them and left them playing all day while I was at work to break them in. I set the onkyo to thx mode as well as the subs and played my first demo. I was VERY impressed. The race scene from ready player one was my first demo and these little guys gave me some effortless clean bass at low and refrence level volumes. I mean they gave me 80% of what my pb 4000's give me at less than half the price. I am getting down to 17hz in my space. The pbs are more powerful and have more output but they also cost 2500 a piece. I actually think the m 10s give out a more neutral response to be frank. Next step will be the v 12 . SVS LOOK OUT , seems like monoprice is coming for you! Great job monoprice!! In short if ur looking for a great sub and value don't hesitate these are a phenomenal deal. Also just a note.. my calibration set these subs very low on my receiver and I had to turn up the level in the receiver a bit, this also happened with my svs so this is not anything negative about the m 10.
