Can the 2 adjustable screws to adjust speaker height and alignment be removed from the plate and not used at all ?

Absolutely! I would use some sort of rubber feet on all 4 corners to somewhat decouple the speaker from the stand. I have two feet on the back and use the adj. screws on the front with their rubber covering.

is there a internal passage for wiring or is it suppose to fall loose?

BEST ANSWER: There is no internal passage for wiring. However, because the stand is made of solid wood it would not be too difficult to create cable management by attaching a couple of hooks to the back of one of the wood pieces.

There is no internal passage for wires. This is the only negative with this stand.

I have mine just sitting on top of the shelf. It's stable enough for my needs but YMMV

Are there any feet supplied besides the spikes, for hardwood floors?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: No....you can buy some felt pads but I dont find a need for anything. They are sturdy and dont move so I just have them sit directly on the wood floor.

Two would be nice
Nice looking stand, if only I had a pair, still waiting for the other one.

Very Nice
This is really a very nice speaker stand. It is solid, easy to put together, and very stylish. I love the cherry wood appearance. It also has one of the largest tops so it can accommodate large bookshelf speakers without them hanging over the edges.
Two reasons for 4 stars instead of 5. First, there's no way to hide the speaker wire. They should have had a channel down 1 or both posts. Second, they should have included feet as an alternative to the spikes for hard floors. I had to purchase furniture leveling feet (M8 thread) separately.

Great looking and solidly built. Would be 5 stars if it had cable management
