Can you add a longer cable between the surround speakers?
anthony a
on May 31, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Yes, each end of the wire plugs into each speaker individually. You can splice in more wire or you can purchase a longer wire with male plugs on each end.
I can not comment on the quality of the sound but, I assume it would be ok as you can run very long runs for other speakers and still have good quality sound as long as the gage of the longer wire is thicker wire.

Yes, I needed the same. But please make sure you add 2 5 mm audio plugs on bith ends or get adapters for a standard 3.5 mm plug.

I don’t see why you couldn’t but you’d have to find an after market new cable or find a female to male extension.

I can barely hear the surround speakers, is there anyway I can turn the volume up on just those speakers?
A shopper
on Sep 6, 2023
BEST ANSWER: If you look at the remote, there is a button 2nd from the bottom called Surround Volume. That can be used to increase or decrease the volume of the surround speakers. However, the surround volume is highly dependent on which EQ setting you have the soundbar set to. Some EQ settings like movie and music will be louder than voice or sports. Good luck

You can turn up the surround volume button located under the EQ button. It goes up to 5. It will make them louder, but it resets to 0 when you turn the system off and then back on, so you will have to reset them to your preferred level each time you turn the system on.

Do the satellite speakers connect to the sub?

More specifically, the right surround speaker pairs wirelessly separate from the subwoofer; the left surround speaker is wired to the right one. Thus, sub placement is not constrained by the surrounds as with some competing soundbars.

It appears from reading the manual page 12 "manual pairing" that the main surround speaker and the sub woofer both establishes a wireless connection with the soundbar.

I would say yes since you need CEC for e/ARC to work, which this soundbar is advertised as having. That said, CEC is always a bit of a gamble between devices.

Surround speaker system
I like it, for the price and sound you can't beat it. I do wish the other surround speaker was wireless and didn't have to connect it to the other surround speaker. But I do highly recommend this system.

Easy install. Great sound.
This bluetooth set is great. No in wall wires to run.
I give this four stars as when I set the subwoofer output via remote control isn't saved as a user memory. It needs to be adjusted with each power up.
Still, highly recommended. Great 5.1 sound.

Easy setup, great sound, annoying shutoff "feature"
Easy to install soundbar, subwoofer and surround speakers paired readily. Two HDMI inputs and the eARC output made it easy to connect streaming source and disc player to soundbar, which connects to TV.
The sound quality is excellent, and the remote control allows us to diminish the surround channel and boost the treble to make dialog audible for some programs with odd surround mixes.
However, when trying to watch a program with headphones (no audio to soundbar, but video passthrough to TV), the soundbar shuts itself off after 15 minutes, killing the video signal to the TV. I can find no way to defeat this energy-saving "feature."

Better than expected solid value
I needed a bedroom system without investing the same amount I did for the 7.1 setup in my living room. I'm not a soundbar fan in general and this is definitely the max I'd spend on one. That said, this more than delivered and I was pleasantly surprised with the solid heavy build quality of the soundbar, as well as the wireless satellite speakers. The cord is long enough to put them on either of my night stands and give me the immersion experience I crave (that soundbars lack). I thought I'd have to manually pair but they basically paired themselves after plugging it in. The sub does occasionally lose a connection for a few secs, but it may be my placement directly under and to the left of the soundbar. I was already expecting the inability to save sound settings, but it's not that painful. I generally tweak my sound depending on the activity anyway. It has buttons to adjust bass/treble/equalizer settings, so I'm confused on those reviews. There's also a sync button to fix sync issues, but if you have this problem it's best to fix it at the source because the setting is too imprecise. I initially had audio sync issues on 4k movies, then switched from VLC to mplayer (on my Nvidia SHIELD Pro) and the sync issue disappeared.

Great Bar!
This is a high performing soundbar for the price. I picked it up on sale for 229$ I think it is the best bang for your buck, I have tested better sounding bars but your going to spend 500 or better. So if your on a budget you cant go wrong with this one. Setup was simple, pretty much plug n play.
