This is a LARGE center channel. If you can accommodate the size, this is one incredible center.
Driven by a Yamaha RX-A6A receiver.
I upgraded from a JBL Stage A135C. What a difference. I bought the JBL for size and aesthetics without doing research beforehand. I came to find that the horizontal dispersion was very poor. I wound turning on subtitles for everything.
Cue the Monolith THX-365C. The 3-way design has fantastic horizontal dispersion in it's price class, which was a welcome upgrade in my wide space. Seating on the side of the room can finally reasonably understand dialog.
Movies / TV: Huge improvement. I can clearly understand the dialog now without having to use the dialog boost feature in my receiver. I can finally turn off my subtitles. Voices are very well reproduced.
Music: I listen to Atmos and upmixed stereo music. I was VERY impressed with how well this blended with my JBL Stage A180s after receiver room correction. Destroys the matching JBL.
