BEST ANSWER: As with most Smart Plugs you need to setup using 2.4 GHz -- then they will work on 5GHz (Most wireless routers/AP broadcast both frequencies)

Why didn't you make this small enough/shaped better so that two could plug into the same outlet? They would be much more useful that way.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for the question. While two units of our Mini WiFi 10A Outlet cannot fit into both receptacles in the same outlet, you can plug one of the Mini WiFi 10A Outlets into the top receptacle and then a normal power cord into the bottom receptacle because it is not being blocked. Or you can have one of the Mini WiFi 10A Outlets on the top and one of our new In-Line Outlet Pro (product 39047) devices in the bottom receptacle. Lastly, Smart Plug Wall Outlet product (product 33842) goes over both receptacles and not only provides two power receptacles to plug into (although they are not individually controllable), it also features two USB ports supporting 4.8A of power (they are controllable together, separately from the normal power receptacles) and a night light that's controllable as well.

Agreed, this is a "I can't believe they missed that" design. Anything that blocks other devices from plugging in a standard two-gang outlet isn't "mini".

Agreed that this is a design flaw, but it can easily be overcome by a 3 outlet wall plug available at local stores and at online mass merchants.

Has anyone tried flashing Tasmota or ESPHome to these devices? Is it compatible?
A shopper
on Jun 11, 2021
BEST ANSWER: I tried with OTA, but it wouldn't work. From what I found, you have to take it apart (not a pretty thing), and soldier wires to flash it.
If anyone finds a better method, please let us know.

Like the size could be higher amperage
Love the size of these they do not take up more than one outlet in size and they don't over reach the sides of the receptacle. Would be better if they were 15 amp.

Well Designed Plugs, Out of Date Software
I received a great deal on the Stitch 10A Smart Plugs, however there is no specification for the supported version of Android OS. It seems as though the smart plugs setup application supports Android 12 and earlier, so individuals with Pixels that have the latest Android OS are unable to use the app and therefore unable to setup the devices for use. Future support for Android 13+ is a much needed addition.

Great Product? but one issue.
We love our Stitch products? we have multiple outlets , water detector etc.
However, we?ve been experiencing problems with the outlets?. after a while (around 2years?) they simply stop working. For a while resetting them corrects the problem, but then they eventually stop completely.
Fortunately they?re inexpensive to replace, but it is annoying.
Otherwise, great product line!

Useful devices
Useful for certain applications. The only negative I found so far is the reconnect time after my phone display times out. I find if I keep the display on and the app on top the devices stay connected and can be controlled quickly, but leaving the screen on depletes the battery faster. Setting the display to a lower intensity helps. Wish they would stay connected while utilizing the screen saver feature on the phone but they don't for me.

Convenient Tool for Turning On or Off
They work great with Google assistant for turning lights on and off. The app is helpful, especially to rename plug. My wife likes keeping a tree up, which served as a Christmas tree, Valentine tree and Easter tree. Much simpler to say, ?Hey Google, turn off the tree lights? than to go to cords, bend over and unplug.

Use the stitch app to add them to your network
I thought I could add them to my network via the Google Home app, and that may be possible, but they didn't automatically recognize like most wifi devices do. Adding them to the network via the Stitch app and then mangagin them with the Home app worked and the work flawlessly so far.
