Can this cat 6a cable be run parallel to Romex under my house without interference ?
Thomas K
on Jun 9, 2021
BEST ANSWER: The issue of electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference depends on the quality of shielding of the ethernet cable. However, a separate issue is that NEC (National Electric Code) Article 800.133 restricts most communications cables from being co-located with power cables (i.e., Romex or the NEC formal name of Romex is type NM-B/C [non-metallic sheathed cable]). You should research the applicable electrical code which applies to your jurisdiction -- usually this will be the National Electric Code or some code which references the National Electric Code.

It worked out.
Great cabling. Comes on wooden spools so need a spool holder but if you have those it is perfect.

Great for Keyhole Connectors but not RJ45
Worked Great! Ran two runs from through the attic. Very stable connection. You should use a Keyhole and Faceplate to connect this wire. RJ45 connectors are too hard to use with these. The cable is also very thick

Excellent Cable
As expected it would be good to list this as shielded Cat6a cable as there is a sheath and plastic sheath the strands are not shielded individually though.
It is a bit stiff though working with it but that is expected with this kind of cabling.
Great cable speeds expected 10Gb used to connect fiber modem to security gateway and home network devices.
