Will this work for an adapter for video input on a TV from security camera?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, assuming the tv accepts the signal sent by the camera. All this does is convert the plug from one type to another. Some cameras are digital and use SDI as opposed to composite. For your application I’m guessing you’re using an analog tv with a yellow rca plug so that means you need an analog camera, or a converter box to change the signal if it is digital.

Not necessarily, the security cameras have a very diverse specification for the video signal and your screen is limited in terms of frame rate , sync, resolution settings. However is easy to test if your camera is compatible with your screen, just try it!

It should. I believe security cameras are BNC. If you are hooking this up to a standard TV with composite (yellow), then yes. And this is the correct male /female version.

As long as you patching from an RCA phono male to a BNC female connection this should work. Make sure you have those connectors to match.

Can you use this on raw Coax cable? My builder used Coax cable for the subwoofer pre-wire, so would two of these on each end do the trick?

No, this is intended to attach to a BNC male connector (that would be attached to a coax cable).

recent order
happy with monoprice products and customer service, but had a minor problem with this order - I'm not sure how to best notify monoprice, and since I am confident they'll address the problem, I don't want this to reflect poorly on monoprice

the double banana plugs had swivels on the individual plugs, making for a lesser quality connection - previous plugs ordered were better - I hope they include these details on the product description for all of their customers
