I see this kvm have a DVI-I port, but most devices now are DVI-D. Does it only switch the analog signal or will it work with a DVI-D to DVI-I adapter with devices that only output digital signals?
I'm fairly disappointed at how old this tech is, but it most likely works exactly as it was designed. Those PS2 ports are not for show, they are required. This device does not work unless you have the PS2 ports on the back connected to your computers. The folks who gave this one star and said it didn't work probably didn't connect the PS2 ports. You don't have to use the input PS2 ports for this to work, fortunately, as I don't think they've made a PS2 mouse in about 15 years and my USB to PS2 converter didn't seem to do the trick. I would have given this 5 stars 10 years ago, but today it's going to be hard to find a use for this device.
This item did not work for me. It doesn't look like the PS2 issue has been cleared up but I'm not using any PS2 devices (Mouse or keyboard) and not sure if that's causing the issue. I have a computer and Playstation 4 (HDMI to DVI cable) hooked up and get no green lights or any display. Dissatisfied with this since it was a Christmas gift and was looking forward to using it
I have my two computers hooked up to the unit. There are two red lights on the front, but no green ones as the super short instructions said there will be. Pressing the buttons on the front makes the unit beep, but the screens don't switch and the colors don't change.
Thank you for your review and truly sorry to hear about you experience with PID 4074. Has this worked properly for you initially? For troubleshooting purposes, have you tried switching the cables or connecting to a different source or display to see if that changes anything? Another thing you can try is power cycling the switch.
Disconnect everything from the switch including power and cables. After about 5 minutes, plug everything back in and power everything back on. Also try powering everything on from the display and work backwards in the chain to the source device.
Please let me know if the above steps yield any results. Thank you for your cooperation in the matter.
