Does the scroll wheel have a free spin option for hyper-fast scrolling? I have grown to love this on my Logitech M560 but that feature is getting harder to find these days.
Solid build quality. I've been using it for over a year now and haven't felt included to upgrade. Only thing is that it doesn't come with much documentation, you won't get the same customization you would if you bought something like a Logitech mouse. I'm pretty sure the RGB can't be customized, it changes depending on which DPS it's at.
Lives up to the "ultralight" label, it does feel very light.
The appearance is also pleasant. The RGB isn't excessive too, with lights on the middle mouse button, the interior, and a customizable strip at the bottom. Solid build quality too.
My only gripe with this mouse are the skates on the bottom. They are extremely small and do little to prevent friction between it and the mousepad. When playing first person shooters, you can definitely feel it drag across. It's not the smoothest experience.
Also, the downloadable software is visually unappealing and has a limited range of features. The only useful settings are the DPI and RGB controls. The other options merely change the Windows mouse settings.
It?s lightweight, solidly built, looks awesome to me, and has the perfect click weight on its main buttons. I like that the cable is not stiff, giving more freedom of movement. I?m keeping an eye out if someday monoprice makes a sale on it, I?ll be buying another one just for spare.
Though I own 3 other mice that I use for work and gaming I decided to give the Dark Matter Hyper-K Ultralight a spin purely on impulse. After going back and forth from my Razor and DM1 FPS, this mouse has effectively ruined my experience with all the others and has become my daily driver. I frikken love this thing. Its super light, build quality is solid and looks incredible. Moving the mouse is effortless and from my experience in Overwatch, Rainbow six siege, and other fps games has actually improved my playing. Though I'm still experimenting with the other mice and my own preferences, this is the one I keep coming back to. If you haven't tried a ultra light this is the one to go with.
Mouse is great but no instructions for setting up top and side buttons. It would appear your target demographic is IT nerds who already know this. I've bought many things from Monoprice and have always found documentation lacking. From now on I'll resist the urge to buy things from you unless I'm already quite knowledgeable about the product.
