BEST ANSWER: I've had no such problems on my hardwood floor, though you need to be careful around painted molding. But any floor so delicate that this would scratch it should probably not even be walked on. Only drawback about this machine is the unavailability of replacement batteries.

We have this in our RV which has laminate flooring. It has done a wonderful of cleaning and has not scratched anything we have used it on. Works really well in RV’s because it stores in a small footprint but does the job of a larger vacuum

How does this vacuum perform with picking up pet hair? Specially German Shepherd hair?

BEST ANSWER: I got my vacuum mostly just to pick up dog hair.
I find that the vacuum does a good job with our long-haired mutt. The foam roller works great on hard floors. While small the roller brush does a good job on carpeting. Vacuum empties easily to be ready for next run,
the battery charges fairly quickly.
I'm happy with mine.

I have 2 shepherd/husky mixes and it does pretty well with them. A few clarifications, though. 1) I have mostly tile floors so picking up hair is relatively easy if you can reach it. 2) I have a small area rug which is cleaned pretty well of hair using the smaller attachment but I can't imagine having to do an entire room with it. 3) I use a robovac daily so this is really just to get trouble spots it can not reach. It does really well in that role.

It is no where near as powerful as a Dyson, on either high or low. But it is 1/3 the price of a dyson. If you are expecting dyson power, you will be disappointed. This is good for those times you want a quick clean up without taking out a big vacuum.

Outstanding Value
Own two of these units and both have met expectations at a great price. Maintain & clean your vacuum and it runs well. The high setting has a tad bit more power to a comparable Dyson model running at medium setting, which is plenty for my household needs, at 1/5th the price.

Strata Home - very impressive.
This is my first stick vacuum of this type. It glides easily over any surface. I have both carpet and tile. The middle setting works well, and you can crank that up for an extra boost. The attachments are wonderful, did a great job on my speaker covers. I recommend taking the time to familiarize yourself with buttons, dismantling, etc. before use. My home is cleaner now, thanks to the Strata

Nice vacuum
Great vacuum. Good suction. Of course I would like it better if it had a longer run time. That is not to say that it is not quite good for what it is. I would like it better if I could swap out the battery and have a fully charged battery on reserve.

Nice unit, BUT?..
This is a very nice unit and compares well to other cordless vacuums. One disappointing thing about this vacuum is it run time on a single charge?..we are lucky to get 20 minutes run time on full power. The blurb states that one should get 45 minutes run time!!! I think this is a bit of a stretch!

Best vacuum in the house by far. We have 6.
We love this thing. Not as much as our puppy or our coffee maker, but more than our broom or other vacuums. And not as much as bed. But more than Mr. Clean wipes or Fabuloso. Or paint. Except some paintings. Like Van Gogh. His stuff is better than the vacuum.
