BEST ANSWER: I do use this wire in an outdoor type of application. In some areas I have in underground conduit and in other areas have stapled under and eave, but nowhere where it's in direct sunlight. So I would say yes, providing how you're going to run it.

That’s a good question, but the specs don’t say. I’d be comfortable running it under an eave, but not anywhere wet, and definitely not buried.

BEST ANSWER: While I do not believe that this 4-wire 12AWG speaker cable is rated for outdoor use, I believe that you MAY be successful using it outdoors but should avoid using it in direct contact with the ground, water, or directly exposed to the elements or where nighttime temps frequently get below 32 degrees F. You should also probably avoid direct sunlight exposure as well, primarily due to possible degradation from prolonged UV exposure and frequent changes between heating up and cooling down. Main point here is that the outer jacket is NOT designed for outdoor use. If you can still comply then I would say GO for it! Hope this helps.

I don't see why not, although it probably isn't rated for outside. I have it feeding some deck speakers under a deck - not exposed to direct sun. Worked fine for several years now.

Yes... I did have not had any issues. I did not bury it so I don't know if it will hold up in that scenario. I used this cable to power a pair of patio speakers.

BEST ANSWER: The outside diameter of the 2 conductor is a little more than 1/4". If the cable is warm/hot, the outside jacket can get close to 3/8"

The 12AWG 4-Conductor is 3/8 inch diameter the 2 conductor is smaller(didn't find an exposed piece).

12 gauge wire is the thickest speaker wire you would need, and that only required/desired for runs longer than 25 ft. Wound wire is preferable to solid; and good quality is a definite. Don’t skimp on a fairly small increase in cost to get the best results.

What's the diameter of the 12awg 4 conductor wire? I'm planning on running two of these in a wall mount raceway for the Dolby Atmos surround speakers. Need to determine the width of raceways with two of these wires inside.

Great Wire
This is excellent sounding wire, and it's very affordable. I've owned a lot of expensive brand name cables and have heard many more. This is as good as you need, even if you have an impressive sound system

Great Cable, Great Price!
This wire is great! Why pay hundreds for high quality copper wire when you can get it here without breaking the bank! Using it to bi-wire my B&W 801 S3 loudspeakers and it works superbly!

Great Cable so easy to work with.
Monoprice Access Series 12AWG CL2 Rated 4-Conductor Speaker Wire was everything I hoped it would be, good sounding, and very easy to work with. Having the 4 conductors made wiring up my home theater system a snap. I would recommend this speaker wire to anyone looking for quality wire.

I haven't hooked up any of my long runs yet (4 conductor) but the cable seems to be very high quality. I have used the 2 conductor to make custom speaker cables and I have been very pleased with the outcome.

This is great, high quality wire.
It features fine strands, which is wonderful. The jackets are easy to cut with a utility blade.
