Any more info - as lifting the TV off of the hanger and then reconfiguring (with a 3rd hand?) doesn't sound very convenient

No. The hanger is not locked onto the cross brace. But, the simplicity of changing orientation is great. Just lift the TV off the hanger, reconfigure mounts on the back of the TV, rehang, and done.

Believe the 31.5! It extended outside of a 28" cubby to be flush with my wall, AND i had enough room to get my hand behind it, to plug in the HDMI

Which spec is correct. Swivel +-60 degree or 180 degree? I see some conflicting data here. If it's +-60 degree, I don't think it can do 90 degree to a side.

It swivels 180 degrees, which is clearly labeled on the 'Product Dimensions' PDF available under the 'CLICK TO DOWNLOAD SUPPORT FILES' section. The 180 degree swivel is also visible in one of the photos that shows the mount in the closed position. As of the time of writing this answer the description incorrectly states the swivel, and the 'Sales Sheet' PDF incorrectly states both the swivel and the extension amount. Monoprice needs to correct the description and the 'Sales Sheet PDF' instead of just answering in the questions and answer section...

Can I mount a 65 inch tv and still turn it 90 degrees?
New User U
on Jan 26, 2021
BEST ANSWER: This mount does not allow you to rotate the tv from potrait to landscape.. you only have the options to mount in potrait or mount in landscape. Once mounted that's it. I have 2 of these sitting in the box in the garage unusable because the description is very misleading. You will not get a full 90 degree turn if you mount in landscape and want to turn the tv 90% to be perpendicular to the wall.

I would not recommend it with this mount. It could slide right off due to the way the TV attaches to the mount

Can I mount a 65 inch Samsung tv and will bracket swing 90 degrees?
New User U
on Jan 26, 2021
BEST ANSWER: I have a 75" Samsung and had no problems mounting it on the wall and attaching the TV. Make sure you place the bracket on center so that you can screw the lag bolts into the studs. My TV swivel far enough (not quite 90 degrees) but close enough.

Am I able to turn the mount arms so it extends out and downward?
A shopper
on Mar 1, 2021
BEST ANSWER: No, this mount wouldn't work for that. The way the arm is designed, if it were oriented in such a manner that the TV could be moved downward, there wouldn't be anything to hold it against the wall (short version: the arm would fall to full extension).
Monoprice -does- have a mount that would work for pulling a TV out and downard; the Model 27773. Check that one out and see if it fits your needs.

55" TCL - Articulates to 90 degrees with room to spare
Works great for what I needed. Articulates to 90 degrees, and feels very solid. I'm only attached to one stud, and the other side is using the anchors provided.

Great mount for larger TVs
Great mount. Our 65” Texan be flat along the wall or rotated 90 degrees for an another room to see the tv. Feels solid in the wall with no arm bending even at full extension.

65” tv can be flat along the wall or perpendicular for viewing from another room.

Product arrived quickly in good condition. Very good quality. Was easy to install and adjust to our needs. I had a narrow space to put a large tv. Was able to get it on the studs and still center tv. TV is easy to move and cords are controlled

Excellent Mount. Well Worth the cost.
I've purchased and installed +20 mounts over the years. With this bracket "you get what you paid for." It is very sturdy and has no wobble when fully extended. I've purchased less expensive mounts and no matter how much you tight bolts, the bracket will wobble. Everything about this mount is heavy duty. The only problem is the included template. As others have mention, the bolt holes do NOT match that of the bracket. No worries, just remember to lay the mount down over the template and trace the new hole alignment. You can see my attached picture showing the factory hole placement and then where I traced the correct holes.

Wrong hole placement vs. correct.
