Since this cable is designed specifically to carry the full potential of the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Standard, that will limit the total length available to provide the full 10gbps connection. Currently the standard will only allow for up to a 1m length for full compatibility.

What is the data transfer speed?

BEST ANSWER: The theoretical speed is 10 Gb/s but real world speed is closer to 7 Gb's, you would need USB 3.2 Gen 2 2X2 to get the theoretical 20 Gb's which probaly produces 16 Gb's in real world use.

Works great, expensive
The 3-foot cable is just a little short for laptop use when powering, but it was the only thing available, and it was on sale, but the full price is just so high for such a thing, so meh! They really wanted me to review this, but who gets excited over a three-foot cable?! I bought it because my puppy chewed through the stock power cable, but this CAD charger is not charging my computer any faster with its 100 watt power, and there aren't many accessories which actually make use of the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C's top transfer rate that are of much practical value for me at least. There are too many other links in the chain which can slow things down even on brand new equipment. Oh, by the way, the red is not that bright.

As for the red color, I guess it's all in the eye of the beholder. I personally think it's pretty snazzy, but I can see why some people might find it too subdued.

Great for USB-C Portable Monitor
So I really like it? i bought another elsewhere before doing my homework is this is amazing for a USB-C portable monitor. Study, hight quality, not too rigid, etc.

5A/100W PD & 1000 Mb/s Xfer rate
Typically, it is hard to find products that actually deliver the promised throughput (USB 3.2 Gen 2/signaling @ 10 Gbit/s) over Type-C using an NVMe SSD (via external enclosure).
I am never disappointed by Monoprice. Both their products and the purchase experience are top notch. Over time, you're just not let down by the quality and workmanship of their products.

It works but is a small hassle
The cable works but is one sided. It only works in a particular orientation. This is less than ideal for a plug that can be plugged in both ways.

Inconvenient
Lacks flexibility. You cant't use the device while applying this cable. Due to inflexibility, if you move the attached during the charge, it tends to unplug the charger from the wall or unplug itself from your device.
