In my home, the stands need to go on hardwood floors, not carpeting. Is there any way to secure the plastic feet to the stands? Your diagram shows the spikes inserted into them but they do not stay in place that way.

BEST ANSWER: There speakers come with clear rubber tips that go on the floor (with the opening up) and then the steel foot rests on top. I have them on hardwood floors and they do not move! Love them!

You have to place the plastic feet on the floor in the position matching where the corners of the speaker stand will be, then lower the stand onto them

To permanently adhere the rubber cups to the spikes. you could try using clear RTV sealant adhesive

What sort of cable management features does this speaker stand have...? I see straps but are they to secure each speaker to its stand--or what exactly?
Warren K

BEST ANSWER: The cables route through the metal post which is hollow, entering just below the top glass plate and exiting just above the bottom plate. Touting is easy and grommets protect the wires where they enter the post. The straps are a basic means of attaching the speakers to the top plate in the event someone is concerned about them being knocked off. They wrap entirely the speaker and the top plate.

There is a channel on the back where you can route the cable through. The cover has a thumb size opening at the top and the same at the bottom. As far as the straps I have yet to figure out what they are for. The felt pads are used and the speakers sit quite comfortably there. Hope this helps they are really nice stands for the price. Yes, the straps are used to secure the speakers to the stand, if you want to. I did not, and everything seems fine. However, if you have small kids or pets, you may want to use the straps. As for wire management, there are holes with plastic grommets near the top and bottom of the vertical support to pass the wires through.

Cables can be run through the vertical stand top to bottom. The straps are just Velcro to help secure the speakers to the base if you deem necessary

Yes it is glass, and it has sort of a screw thread on the bottom side that you screw on to a metal skinny rod

Would you be able to fill the center post with sand for sound dampening? One user mentioned that one of the sides of the post is plastic... is that true?
A shopper
on Nov 14, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Not really- these are small posts- 2" x 2 1/2" These are aluminum extruded tubes and the "plastic" on one side is thin MDF on the outside of one face.

You Can Stand It!
Monoprice Elements speaker stands are a good compromise if you have decent speakers that need support, but you don't want to spend a fortune for a set of stands. The 'compromise' here is twofold: (1) The main support column is made of plastic that looks like metal from a few feet away, and (2) The end-caps that fit over the top/bottom of the support column are also plastic, and they bend inward when the stands are assembled. This is due to a steel rod that runs from the base-plate upwards through the support column and connects to the top-plate's underside. This makes assembly a snap (about 7 minutes per stand), but if you tighten the nut on the bottom of the base-plate so that it feels snug, not loose, it seems to affect the angle of the top-plate. This is not necessarily a bad thing, since it is a gentle slope of maybe 2 degrees from front to rear, which results in the speakers having a slight backwards tilt. The stands are a good value all in all. YMMV.

Save your money
Won't sit straight, so you end up with tiled stands. If the price seems to good to be true, I suppose there's a reason.

Ok once you are able to level them out
Had to lose the bottom plastic rectangular piece in order to get the unit level in all planes. Cheap plastic deforms when you tighten the nut causing the tower to tilt. Now that they are straight I'm reasonably happy with them- didn't except audiophile -quality stands for this price.

Nice and subtle design
Went together fairly easily and are subtle and unobtrusive. Good height for my new Klipsch Atmos speakers. Pretty good price too.
