BEST ANSWER: Then you probably will not buy this one! I was quite disappointed in this product though i do have (and like) the larger articulation one. I actually had to go and buy parts to install this... ~TEU

How do I tighten the bottom holding screws?

on Nov 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If they won’t get any tighter but are still not all the way against the bracket, you have to use shorter screws or spacers. I think the mount kit has some spacers included.

Can 55" monitor be mounted in portrait orientation and still tilt?

BEST ANSWER: Not more than a few degrees. You'll need something that protrudes further from the wall to get much tilt if you're going for portrait orientation on a 55" TV.

Can you adjust the tilt after installation and mounting the TV, or is that done during assembly with spacers?

on Jul 15, 2022
BEST ANSWER: This is an economy mount, that fit my needs, but maybe not yours. My tv was the largest size that could be used with the mount, and there just wasn't any room to tilt--but I didn't need tilt. Generally, the more tilt/swivel in a mount, the further it sets the tv away from the wall... necessary for the tilt/swivel mechanism. If you want a wide range of tilt, this isn't the mount for you. To answer your question, the usual is to mount then adjust the tilt. If you are handy, and know the limits of your mount, etc., then I suppose you could shim when mounting. But then, gravity may work against you for safely keeping the tv attached to the mount. Could be opening a can of worms. Keep in mind, too, that the closer the mount to the wall, the more difficult it is to attach all of the cabling, some of which sticks out too much, pushing the bottom of the set away from the wall. Monoprice has better, more versatile mounts than this one.

Thanks. Mostly wanted to know if the TV could be tilted after it was mounted, or if it had to be taken down to adjust the tilt and then remounted (which is a PIA).

What is the height of the vertical brackets? I want to be certain that the TV that I use can hide the top and bottom of the brackets.

Very slim, almost to a fault
Overall I'm pleased with the TV mount, however it's so slim it's difficult to make adjustments and secure fastenings while the TV is mounted. I ended up installing some spacers to complete installation and to secure the TV to the mount.

Slim mount simple design, easy install, but limited application
5 stars, but I wouldn't recommend it for a large tv that maxes out the 400 x 400 versa. We made it work, but all of our inputs face back toward the wall, and we needed to get 90 degree adapters and power cord to allow the tv to sit flat. Simple design, safe, easy install and would work great with a smaller tv or one that has power/input jacks to the side.

It is a nice very basic bracket. It presents a good value due to included accessories.

Good mount; Check your TV depth
Product was as pictured, came with multiple sizes of bolts for various TVs. For the price Im happy with the mount.
I knocked off a star because I cant tighten the bottom mount screws to secure the tv to the wall. I got a 50 HiSense H8G, which juts out in the bottom-back, blocking even my 8 screwdriver from reaching the screws.
I shouldnt have opted for the low-profile, but still would be nice to have an easier method to secure the tv.
For the price, its a good mount that does its job well and Id recommend it with the caveat that you may have issues securing it to the wall if your tv has more depth than some models.

discreet, but limited downward tilt
this worked well. I really liked that the kit included a small level and an extra HDMI cable.
And it is indeed very slim.
It's worth noting that the downward tilt is VERY MODEST, only 8%. it's pretty much vertical. I probably would have ordered a different mount that could tilt down a little bit more. But this is good enough for the room where we're mounting it.
