What is the distance from the wall when the mount is closed?

BEST ANSWER: Mine is a little over 2", which leaves just the right amount of space if your HDMI cables plug into the back and not the side of the TV.

I see that this mount allows the TV panel to ROTATE +-60 degrees, but can you swing the TV side to side. to say it another way, if standing in front of the TV can you push it to the left or right WITHOUT rotating it?

BEST ANSWER: You can, but it doesn't slide, it pivots. So you need to pull the tv away from the wall a bit to move it left or right. I found I could move it up to 7 inches each direction. Very nice mount.

When not extended out, can the tv be off center from the mount? I'd like to drill holes next to a fuse box and have the TV cover it.
A shopper
on Feb 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It would have to be at least some distance off the wall in this case. The further out to the side you want to go, the further off the wall it would need to move. It depends on how far off-center you're going to mount it, and how big your TV is.

If the studs are not quite centered does this mount allow left to right adjustment?
Chandana W
on Jul 13, 2020
BEST ANSWER: To some extent yes. The brackets that hold the tv can be shifted left/right a little bit to account for slightly off center studs, but maybe only a few inches. Be prepared to bolt a board across the studs and attach this mount to that board.

Can this mount. Be used for a 60” 400x400 vesa pattern? Googled vesa and it said TVs up to 60” were 400x400. This shows “up to 600x400. Just need clarification.

BEST ANSWER: Yes this will work for your TV.
I did not measure my TV mounting center for exact mm pattern. My TV was a 48" with I think 200 x 300. 8" x 12"
The Two supports that mount to the back of the TV have plenty of options for mounting up to 400. They slide on the horizontal bars attached to the wall mount. They can stretch out a good distance and I think this is the 600 mounting holes.
Easy to install, rotates, shifts side to side and tilts the TV for viewing angle. No vertical adjustment however.

Can it be installed into metal studs? Spaced 24 inches apart?
A shopper
on Apr 11, 2021
BEST ANSWER: It only has mounting holes in the center to attach to a single stud. I would recommend using toggler bolts and nuts to get a secure connection to the metal stud. If you need to mount it in between 2 studs, get a piece of 24" long, 3/4" plywood that mounts to each stud. The TV mount can then attach to the plywood anywhere in between!

How much from center does this actually rotate? Does it rotate 60 degrees total (30 left, 30 right), or +- 60 from a neutral position? We are mounting a 65" TV on an angled wall that is approx 45 degrees from our couch, and want to make sure that this will allow us to view it straight on. Thanks!

Can this be installed into a normal 2x4 wall cavity or do I need to install a backing board in the wall? The instructions and template picture make it seem like I need to install a 2x12 or similar in the wall.

Excellent mount for the money
Some extension mounts are too stiff or otherwise difficult to manipulate. I've never had one too loose thankfully. I've purchased and installed probably five different brands of this kind of mount spending up to $500 for a mount. This one is no less a mount than those expensive ones ... though it's for a much smaller display than my most expensive mounts which have 75" displays on them.
Overall it's a great value. We installed this one in a break room.

Great monoprice quality
It's typical monoprice quality . Very good. Just make sure you know exactly where studs are. I used a stud finder then a very small drill bit to make sure I was in center. Also wall hardware is a joke . Pick up torx construction screws from store . They are much stronger

Superb Large LCD Tv Mount
It?s awesome! Easy to mount, Velcro ties and small level included. I wasn?t sure where to mount this as I wasn?t sure if the middle of the mount was also generally the middle of the screen. I needed to have it 1/8? above my center speaker sitting on the media center. I was able to figure it out. It?s the best mount I?ve used - fantastic value on sale!

Worked great for our living room
I was able to install this on my own and even mounting our 55" to the mount by myself. I thought I might need extra hand. but it was for nothing.
Pretty straight forward install. And seems sturdier than the wall I hung it on. Might have missed the middle of the stud. But thats on me, not the mounts fault.
If it was in stock I'd by another one for the basement. Will be watching for it to come back in and will be ordering another in future.
