The schematic says there is 18.9 inches between supports (width) and the "Full specs" tab says there is 20.9 inches between supports; which is correct?

Monolith by Monoprice Heavy Duty 4 Tier Audio Stand XL, 1" Shelf Thickness, Maple
Monolith by Monoprice Heavy Duty 4 Tier Audio Stand XL, 1" Shelf Thickness, Black
Monolith by Monoprice Heavy Duty 4 Tier Audio Stand XL, 1" Shelf Thickness, Espresso
So they are both correct but measured from different points. From inside edge of support to inside edge of support the width is 18.9 inches. measured from the centerline of each support the width is 20.9 inches. If your component is < 18.9 inches in width you will be able to slide it straight in.

I just took a 19" rackmount bracket and layed it on one of the shelves.
It is just slightly wider than the space between the supports. I'd say
the 18.9" spec is the correct one.

Both, depending how you measure. The inside space measured from support to support is about 18.9 inches. Measurement from center of support to center of support is about 20.9 inches.

I really can't answer that question, but I can tell you that I bought two units so that I could build my shelf the way I wanted/needed it to be. I used the taller posts (from each set) to build a unit that would accommodate my amp and preamp, both of which were too tall for the shorter spaces. Then I added an extra shelf on top. In the end I have a couple shelves left over, but will figure out something to do with them, can always add another level. Versatile unit and it's very sturdy.

Nice, solid stereo rack
It arrived quickly and well packaged. Assembly was pretty quick and easy-high quality hardware makes it very solid. Materials and finish are decent-not premium quality, but a good value for the price. I expect this piece to last for a very long time.

Nice rack
Nice sturdy shelf at a fair price, and matches the AV rack perfectly. The top shelf is a great place to store your turntable cover so you don't step on it, and the other shelves are great for remotes and loose CD's, etc. Room for growth too if you add more components. If you only have a few components it makes a fine standalone rack. All in all a nice antidote to the overpriced audiophile stuff, and with all the money you save you can afford cones and Vibrapods.

Incredibly sturdy & easy to assemble
Weighty and sturdy. Assembly is simple with one page visual guide.
For extra damping I've added playground sand to the posts; about 20lbs worth. Tedious because the are only small holes in the ends of the posts. I dried the sand at 250 degrees for two hours in the oven. When cooled I used a small funnel to insert the sand.
Lastly I replaced the feet/gliders with iron spikes (M8).

Super sturdy and customizable
I liked that it could be rebuilt to pit the higher tier almost anywhere and it feels super sturdy. The screws never go into wood, it?s all into metal posts, so you can tear down and rebuild pretty easily. I thought the color scheme was a little boring so I customized mine with a punk feel

Fantastic for money
Nice for money with a few minor asides. It comes with clear plastic washers for the bottom of the tubes but not the top. Having them for both sides would make sense. Bought fender washers at hardware store for other side. Also some of the fasteners use flat and philips screws. Is it not modern to go torx or square head at this point?
While not being real wood those are more in the $ 1K price range. Extra star for brace on what is supposed to be the bottom shelf. I had to move that shelf up a notch as it put my large receiver in a more logical place. To get something as nice you have to spend in $ 250 to $300 range.
