is this for carpet too?
A shopper
on Oct 30, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Yes, although you will need to use the High power setting which will result in shorter battery life. It is also not as powerful as a full-size vacuum so it is better for some quick jobs on carpet but not deep cleanings.

We use it to clean small areas of carpet. It works fine. Battery life will be an issue for a large area. It recharges quickly, so it might be what you need.

It works well on all surfaces. But if you want a more hardy stick style vacuum, you may want to consider the 400W which costs jus a little bit more.

If this is purchased for use at a vacation home, and there are periods of weeks not in use, do I need to make sure that it is not plugged in before I leave?
Chuck

BEST ANSWER: The manual recommends that the charger be unplugged from the wall outlet after reaching a full charge, which is 4-5 hours, depending on how the battery was when first plugged in. We don’t use ours every day so we do unplug it. My personal recommendation for you is to unplug most wall warts in your vacation home if you are not using them for some function. BTW the manual also says the battery “should be charged at least every three months to keep the battery fresh and capable of holding a full charge.” Although this vacuum works well, the wall mount is not nearly as nice as the Dyson and requires you to manually plug in the charger after hanging.

The battery is a Lithium Ion type, and you never want to let them get completely dead. If this happens the battery will still charge, just not to its full capacity. As it pertains to this vacuum you should be fine leaving it on charge when you are not there. Mine hangs in my kitchen and is on charge all of the time with no issues.

Hi I'm a pilot , so I go on road trips all the time ! Once it's fully charged I'll unplug it but sometimes I don't .Don't think it really matters ,there should be a circuit that just cuts power to battery when it's fully charged even if it's still plugged in ! Either way I've been quit happy with this ! Cheers

I leave mine plugged in 24/7...additionally I tried to get a refund but was too late so a replacement is in route. What I was running into was when you turn off it would leave a pile of debri on the floor in that one spot. Otherwise nice handy machine instead of pulling out big bulky plugin.

I guess it just depends how long you will be away? It’s really easy just to unplug it for peace of mind. Unless you need to vacum the first day back , then just plug it in for around five hours. This will give five hours to enjoy yourself with family and friends during your vacation.

I have both left it plugged in after a charge and unplugged. Either way, it was fully charged for use even after 2 weeks. But it is best to unplug it. For a vacation home, I turn off the water and all unnecessary electricals.

BEST ANSWER: Here is what the manual says: “This device uses a lithium-ion battery. The battery should be charged before first use and at least every three months to keep the battery fresh and capable of holding a full charge.
A full charge takes about 4-5 hours.
Unplug the charger from the wall outlet, then unplug it from the Handle.”
Based on the above I do not leave mine plugged in as I have no idea if the charging voltage throttles back to a trickle upon reaching a full charge.

We leave it plugged in until we need it. I wouldn't worry about battery management. Now, I'm not the definitive answer but we have not had problems battery wise. Just as a cautionary tail. Most everything we get from Monoprice is great but this vacuum has a roller on the end that hair gets tangled in quite easily and that keeps the it from working great. We clean it, WD-40 it and all is good but you have to keep up on it. Besides that it is a nice vacuum, not a great vacuum but a nice one.

What are the purposes for the four attachments?
A shopper
on Jun 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Here's an answer that's actually helpful... There are two powered brush heads. The larger one is good for floors, while the smaller one is handy for furniture or tight spaces. There is a simple crevice tool that lets you get into small spaces like alongside baseboards or in between appliances and counters. Finally, there's a brush head that has stationary bristles, plus an inner section that can be extended that acts kind of like a giant crevice tool. It's good for cobwebs, windowsills, and things like that.

BEST ANSWER: I do not see that the battery can be replaced without taking it apart. As I said in a previous review it is just OK. Not as powerful as a Dyson. But, a Dyson cost quite a bit more. I do love all the attachments because they are powered. Nice for doing rugs, sofas , etc.
Mine cost 99.00 when i bought it. I am satisfied with it. When the time comes that the battery doesn't hold a charge I will take it apart and get the numbers off the battery to replace it. An other thing I like about it is the run time. I have a Dyson and it only runs for 6 minutes on its high setting.

My charger no longer works. I have had this product less than a year. Can the charger be replaced?

BEST ANSWER: I believe so... you have to look at the specific voltage requirements but believe it's a standard 5v charger

Is there a warranty on the battery? I had a great one from Shark, but when the battery finally went out, to replace it was 85% of the original purchase price!

3 years strong
Purchased it many years ago pre-Covid. And still love it and it's still going strong with everyday use. Great quality stuff for a fraction of the price of a Dyson

Buy something else!
Have had this vacuum for a month and when I was using it today the dirt and dust literally starting falling out of it as I used it. The suction is terrible. I?m very disappointed.

Just OK
THE stick vacuum is not a good or powerful but also not as costly as the Dyson. THE wall cradle is not an Auto plug in so it must be unplugged manually each time it is used or returned to cradle. IT has two speeds triggered by the handle. The cradle does not include tool storage which would be a nice feature. However the light on the brush head is a nice feature that MY Dyson DOES NOT HAVE..

Handy clean up.
It could have a little more suction, but as far as convenience, this thing is number one. I hang it on the wall in the bedroom to charge and when I need it to pick up a mess, a dog hair, spilt popcorn, or whatever, grab it, pick up and hang up.

Great vacuum
This is powerful enough to clean hardwood floors and also portable for car vacuuming! And great Monoprice price as usual.

I like this sweeper a lot very convenient I only wish the battery would last longer but I would buy another one if this one stops working.
