I assume this can be used on iPhone 7+?

BEST ANSWER: It will definitely charge your phone but I cannot verify that you’ll get the benefit of PD charging. I’d query Apple support for PD charging. The usb-c plug is a component of that system.

Yes, it can be used on an iPhone 7/+, however fast charging is available from iPhone 8/+ onwards with USB-C and a higher rated power adapter.

BEST ANSWER: This cable should work. I've never hooked my iPhone to my stereo system.

What is the specification for maximum current delivery? 18 watts is NOT a good answer. 18 watts is typically supplied by Power Delivery chargers at 9 volts, which means 2 amps at that voltage. If this cord will not support 3 amps at 5 volts, then its maximum charging power at 5 volts (the most common charging voltage) is just 10 watts. Please specify maximum current for this device.

Useful bridge between older and new Apple portables.

Simultaneously charges an older iPad Pro and a new iPhone SE (3rd gen) using a Monoprice 68 watt 2 port charger without any problems. Haven't used it to sync via USB C so cannot comment on that. Essentially a ribbon cable rather than a round one. Caveat: it appears that the cable strain is greater on a ribbon cable and connector than a conventional cable if the ribbon is twisted. Appearance is an improvement, but it would have been nice to have an LED indicator in the connector in the moulding hole instead of the empty socket.
