The product description mentions the mount can swivel 90 degrees, but is that still possible with a 50" TV mounted to it?
A shopper
on Apr 13, 2021
BEST ANSWER: It is not possible to swivel a 50" TV the full 90 degrees.
We have a Hisense 50" TV (Model 50R6E3, bought from Walmart) installed on this mount, the TV's overall dimensions do not extend much further than the screen size (i.e. the "frame" of the TV is pretty slim/thin, if that makes sense) and even so I cannot fully rotate the TV before it comes into contact with the wall.
You can validate this with the dimensions provided: the mount extends to a maximum of 18.5" (shown in the image to the end and not at the pivot point, so the actual dimension would be a bit less than this). My TV is 43.9" wide per the user manual, half of that is almost 22" which is more than 3" too short to accommodate the TV if it were fully rotated 90 degrees.

Does this outdoor mount come with stainless steel screws to mount to wall and stainless steel screws for mounting the tv to the brackets?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, they come with stainless steel screws for both wood or concrete mounting as well as the screws that connect the TV to the bracket. I would also recommend getting a cover for the TV to protect it further.

The product description states “add a padlock (not included) for additional security.” I note another person asked where the padlock would go and the answer was that this would not have a place for a padlock. Is the product description incorrect.? If so you need to make a correction. Thank you.

Can this (Product # 38291) be mounted on Stucco ?
A shopper
on Jul 26, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Depends on what is behind the stucco. You should be okay with a load appropriate anchor bolt. Though you do not want to have the screws mounted to solely the stucco or plaster as it cannot hold the weight of the TV.

Your product headline states that this will handle VESA patterns from 75x75 to 400x400. Manual says it will do 200x200 to 400x400. Kinda frustrating to read manual AFTER I ordered.!?!

How difficult is it to remove the tv during bad weather? It appears that there is a lip on the mount that the TV sets on so it would be easy to remove. Is this true?

We?ll made, but you may need additional screws to fit your tv.
Seems very sturdy! Was fairy easy to mount the brackets on the tv after I went and bought some shorter screws (the thicker ones). Getting the brackets to hang on the mount went nicely. I was a bit surprised because I was doing it without having anyone around to help guide it into place. Looks great!!

Excellent screen mount. Everything you need to install quickly/correctly
I have 4 screen wall mounts from MP. They're all great, very easy to install, well documented instructions (though its so simple to install they're not really needed - but appreciated) Everything you need except maybe a nut-driver for the lag bolts is included and smartly packaged. Great product, great price, For the ones bigger than this - you may need a helper to hold while you measure/align/mount - but this one and smaller once go up in minutes and can be a one person task.

Fantastic but Instructions Lacking a Bit
Overall this TV mount is great, it fit my needs perfectly and works great after a few hiccups. I've used Monoprice wall mounts, cables, etc. for years now and they are definitely great value.
The only complaints I have are that the instructions were a little vague/non-existent for some of the adjustments. When installing, the bracket on the wall was level however the section that the TV hangs on was not. In trying to resolve this I ended up shearing off a bolt trying to tighten it up. Turns out that one side of the plates is threaded and there is a nylock nut also on it. You need to tighten the bolt and only snug the nut for added security. I held the bolt and overtightened the nut and it sheared. Luckily I was able to pick up a bolt from the hardware store same day and got the TV hung and all leveled.
