If these are 2 conductor cables combined into one , what kind of seperation can you get for terminations?. ( positive & negative terms are on opposite sides of amp)

BEST ANSWER: No identification from left to right but all that holds it together is just a piece of heat shrink about your read 12 inches so what I did is I just took the heat shrink off and ran one cable at a time or you can put your own marks on it. It’s like two cables

There are two separate cables, held together by 1” or so lengths of what looks like shrink tubing. These are not tight, just snug, and can be slid up and down to adjust the separation of the ends. They could even be cut off without hurting the cables.

The two cables are only wrapped loosely in a few places. They can be separated easily for as much distance as you need.

As long as both the CD player and the other device you connect to both have female RCA plugs, then these cables are suitable.

I connected the Monoprice Onix Series - Male RCA Two Channel Stereo Audio cables to my turntable and integrated amplifier using the Phono in/out, but they do not work. Do I have to use the Line in/out to get them to work? Also, why do they screw tight at the plug? Should they be screwed in or out?

Check the turntable’s output setting (Phono/Line switch).
Verify the amplifier input (use Phono for phono-level, Line/AUX for line-level).
Ensure the RCA cables are fully inserted and screwed in snugly (but don’t overtighten).
Test another input. Plug the turntable into AUX/CD/Line to see if you get sound.
Test another RCA cable.

Onix cables for phono connection
I purchased these interconnects for my turntable to phono stage connection. Low capacitance and length were priorities. These sound great. Connectors are substantial and tight.

Decent cables, but inconsistent.
Bought these in the past and they were great. Bought another set for an AV receiver, but the new cables are more loose at the connection ends. Tried tightening the ends by turning the connector housing as far as it can go in both directions and they're still pretty loose.

Tough but not so flexible premium sound
These cables are tough as nails and deliver premium sound quality. Downside to the toughness is that they are not very flexible. I do love that they have a locking feature. Overall they are exactly what they claim to be while looking and more importantly sounding great!

Great Connectivity, Undistorted Sound, Attractive Appearance!
Based on other positive customer experiences, I purchased both 3 and 6 foot pairs to experiment with turntable hook-ups. The relatively low capacitance and locking feature of the cables was tested by using a dual Pro-Ject vacuum tube turntable preamp with connections to both a Technics and Music Hall turntable, and bridged to a Yamaha A-S2100 and PrimaLuna EVO300 tube integrated amp. Speakers are MartinLogan and GoldenEar. Bottom line: The Onix cables performed flawlessly. At the price point, the Onix are an incredible value without any down side. Once again, Monoprice demonstrates that audio performance and appearance do NOT have to carry extravagant price tags.

good value for a basic cable
It was a nice surprise to hear a slight audio improvement from these reasonably priced cables. The tightening jacks are a very useful touch.

Great Cables at a great price. Highly Recommend!
These are by far the best RCA cables I have ever owned. I have added the Outlaw 7000X amplifier to my home theater AVR and I wanted to make sure I had quality cables installed on it so I could get the best quality sound possible. Well these did the trick. The long black hex loosens up so after installed you can tighten them when inserted. Never had this style before but they work great! Very heavy construction with mesh on the outside. This was a first for me also. Very happy with this purchase and I would highly recommend! 5 Star!
