With this cable you are doing one of the following:
Combining a L/R Stereo out into a Mono output, therefore it no longer matters which is Right or Left. As in Taking both L and R sub outputs from an Amp into a sub-woofer with a single input.
Or you are taking a mono output and splitting it into two mono outputs, so there is no R vs L they are both identical and still Mono

The cables I got were color coded, I believe red and black? The ends were identifiable, and marked the same on both ends. I felt like there were good quality and well made.

They are not labeled at the end. But I don't think it matters because it worked with either one plugged in, or both. I use this cable with my Sub.

I need at least 12 inches between the splitter to connect to 2 preamp. WHAT is the distant between the 2 male ends?

BEST ANSWER: Mine are just over 7” from the tip of the connector to the solid part of plastic at the “y”. It would be very close if you have two plugs 12” apart. I think if that was the case you would be about an inch short? But it just depends on the angles

Connector wire to splitter is about 5 1/2 in. So max. realistic distance between male ends is 8-9 in. if preamps face the same direction.

Would this work well with a 2 rca sub to a one rca receiver ?

BEST ANSWER: Yes it will work This is how I have connected my Monolith 13In subwoofer to my receiver ‘s sub out jack. The single RCA plug end, going from one of the Sub pre out jacks and then plugged into both RCA plugs on the back on the Monolith subwoofer.

Is this the product I need to connect a subwoofer to a Sonos Amp?

BEST ANSWER: Yes - as long as you are trying to attach a powered sub with RCA inputs. The subwoofer output on the Sonos will not drive a passive sub without adding an additional amplifier.

I want to use to connect 2 or amps to one source and need at least 12 inches between splitter ends..what length at split is this? Anyone has another cable that will work? With at least 12 inches between the splt end
