BEST ANSWER: Using it right now. No louder than any other traditional mouse. Would be fine in an office setting, if you're wondering about how quiet.

BEST ANSWER: Yes. Although that feature is provided by your operating system. Assuming it is a Mac, Linux or windows it should. I a, using this mouse on Ubuntu Linux and do that all the time.

Does your choice of DPI setting reset every time you power down? I have a Blackbird MP90 plugged into a monitor with a USB 3.0 hub, and every time I turn off the monitor the MP90 resets DPI and lighting preferences.

Does the scroll wheel click left and right?
A shopper
on Nov 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: No, it is not like the Microsoft mice that have a tilting scroll wheel. It’s just a single 3rd button click plus scroll. It also has the little forward/back buttons on the side.. it works well, and I’d recommend it as a replacement wired mouse. I mostly use it for CAD/CAM and software development.

Nice mouse
I am very pleased with the size of this mouse. I am a little over 6' and a lot of mice are hard to hold because they don't fit in my hand well. This mouse fits nicely in my hand and the thumb buttons are easy to hit.
I struggle some with control but I attribute that to using the same mouse on two different systems that unfortunately run different resolutions. So its hard to get used to because things are always changing.

Better than some.
Mice have a huge following. Mice have to fit the hand of the user and provide the functions they want for a myriad of tasks. This mouse functions well for most tasks. It seems to be responsive in games as well as doing other things. Also, it doesn't require software.
My only caveats are that I would like to change the sensitivity settings and the buttons to select sensitivity are a bit too sensitive. I've found myself in trouble when I accidentally press the sensitivity button. Good mouse for the price.

Pretty good for the price
I bought on of these for the covid19 home office, and will eventually be using it to replace one of my gaming mice. Seems to have a great feature set for the price. If feels good in the hand as well. The sensitivity settings are skewed towards the low end; you have the lower sensitivities bunched together, and the high sensitivities have big jumps between them. I do have a few concerns about how it will hold up long term. It does feel a bit cheap, and I suspect the soft touch coating will start to peel or get sticky after a year or two. All that said, i am still happy with the purchase and would probably do it again.

Great mouse!
Has a great weight and feel to it. Adjustable DPI on the fly is awesome. I've already improved my gaming with this

Perfect with some modifications.
This has become my favorite mouse. My previous mouse was a Plugable Gaming Mouse. But, this requires less modification for my needs. At first, the primary mouse buttons feel "weird". After A LOT of trial-and-error, this is how I solved it: take something spongy (like cheap paper towels) and stick it in the primary buttons. It makes the buttons more stable (ie less movement and play while your fingers rest on them.)
I use this mouse on a Linux desktop (Void Linux, Kernel 5.x). No trouble at all. Tracking is fast. The mouse just ends up feeling like an extension of me. Thanks, Monoprice.

Great mouse
I like just about everything about this mouse. The "hand feel", the left/right click feel, the mouse wheel (light detents), side buttons (decent size, easy to feel for and press), adjustable dpi. I'm no power gamer, but I do use this for gaming and general use. I would buy this again.

Great mid range gaming mouse
Disclaimer: Monoprice lent me this product to try in exchange for a fair and honest review
The Dark Matter Aether mouse is great option for a mid range priced gaming mouse. It has a light feel to it that makes for quick movements and the buttons respond with a light touch. I typically use a Logitech G502 and I would say this Aether mouse is about half the weight. Like many new mice, this one comes with weighted pucks that you can place inside the mouse's body to give it the exact weighted feel you are looking for. I prefer the Aether's button responsiveness, as the 502 seems heavier to press. The Aether's design is sleek and ergonomic and feels comfortable for long gaming sessions. The one thing this mouse is missing is a thumb rest but otherwise I prefer it to the mice I have used before. A great option if you are looking for a new mouse.

Love it
Replaced a Microsoft Mouse I had forever and thought I would just give this a try. I have all DAS Keyboards so I thought I would try something with light and color but hey this mouse is great I use it on 2000 DPI mostly for work but love how easy it is to change DPI.
