No amp required. Yes... they are Bluetooth, and you have the option of going wired (minijack) or wireless Bluetooth. The Bluetooth connection is strong and clear for great reception up to 20 or 30 ft away. For watching videos on PC, wired will give best results for eliminating any "out-of-synch" sound issues. All wires are included with these speakers.

They have an internal amplifier and can connect to your computer via a headphone jack or Bluetooth.
In my case I use the cable for my computer and Bluetooth for my iPad as it will use both audio sources at the same time.

You do not need to have a wire connection to the computer. You can connect with Bluetooth. The speakers do need to be wired together (to each other), though, as only one speaker contains the Bluetooth connection.

I have not used it with bluetooth in that way but yes you could as long as you do the pairing bit on each powerup.

Do these produce stereo sound when used in Bluetooth mode?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, when the Bluetooth feature is engaged, stereo sound is produced using both speakers.
The feature works very well. The speakers pair quickly, stay connected, and can get pretty loud without distorting.
So far, I've been really pleased with this purchase.
The speakers sound every bit as good as the Mackie monitors they replaced. Maybe even a little better.

Not directly - the subwoofer needs to be connected (wired) to the receiver, the same receiver that is driving these speakers (either wired or wireless). Monoprice sells an excellent cable for that purpose (I have 2)

Can you connect multiple devices simultaneously via Bluetooth?

BEST ANSWER: Hi - these are great little desktop speakers. Bluetooth is a digital format, so If your PC has Bluetooth is just stream from there to the speakers and let the speakers do the digital to analog work. If you’re looking to convert a wired signal from the PC to Bluetooth you may need a cheap dongle to do that, or you can just run wired to the speakers right from the PC. Bottom line, I think this would work but I don’t think you need the middle component.

you would need a phono preamp to amplify your turntable's output to Line level, which is what these powered speakers want to see. Depending on the type of cartridge on your turntable, you'd want either a MM (Moving Magnet) or MC (Moving Coil) phono preamp. However, many phono preamps can amplify both types of cartridge.

Lots of connections and they sound good.
I bought these to connect to my old TV and they work great for TV audio using one of the two L&R RCA pairs of wired inputs provided. The other RCA pair is connected to a guitar stomp box, to use them as my guitar amp. (Many guitar effects sound much better in stereo. ) The bluetooth input is connected to a laptop, and there is a small but noticeable amount a latency in the connection, which could be coming from the speaker's BT, or the laptop's, or both. These three sources will all play at the same time.
Sound is very good. After living with them for a few months I've noticed no annoying response peaks, port noise, buzzes or other bad habits. They do not produce low bass, but the rest of the spectrum is well balanced.
Their only fault is that in the top third of the volume control range, sound is distorted even at moderate listening levels. They will play louder, without distortion, with the control set to about 2/3. I leave the knob at 2/3 and control volume at the source.
Finally, they look good. The painted finish is well done.. The power light isn't too bright. Overall, well done. I'd buy them again.

Great value for the money!
Extraordinary clarity of sound. Excellent for use as computer speakers. The only criticism is that they need a lower frequency base response. Volume is more than adequate and should satisfy most listeners.

Decent sound at a reasonable price (on sale)
We bought these speakers on sale to accompany a record player that was going to be a Christmas gift for our daughter. We had purchased another brand a year prior for our younger daughter and there were a few things that we didn't really like about them. Most notably, the other brand had a remote control and digital volume control buttons--the remote was convenient, but the volume steps were too large, making it hard to find a good volume level for private listening in a shared apartment environment. I noticed the Monoprice speakers have an analog volume control knob, so we chose them this time.
The Monoprice sale price made these speakers competitively priced with the others. They arrived very quickly. They are nicely sized and they sound decent with vinyls played on a mid-range turntable. However, note that I am an engineer, not an audiophile. There are a few things that I would change to make them worthy of a 5-star review:
1) The Monoprice speakers do not come with any kind of cover for the front of the speakers. The other brand DID come with a cover. Even if you prefer the "open speaker" look, including a cover gave a few bonus points to the other speakers.
2) There is no tone control on these speakers. Don't get me wrong--they do not sound bad, but including a tone control also gave a few bonus points to the other speakers.
3) Even on sale, these speakers cost more than the other ones. Other than the aforementioned volume step issue with the other brand, I'm not sure that the Monoprice speakers outperform the cheaper ones in any meaningful way.
Somewhat strangely, there are two on-off switches on the speakers--a rocker switch on the back and the volume knob on the front has an "off" detent. I assume that one is on the high-power (supply) side and the other is on the low-power side. Make sure that both are turned on.
In summary, I will say the Monoprice speakers sound decent for casual use and everything (including Bluetooth) worked perfectly. My daughter's iPhone 11 connected immediately via Bluetooth and playback worked flawlessly. She has been happy with them since Christmas. If you are looking for bookshelf speakers and especially if you can catch these on sale, they seem to be a solid option.

Awesome
I use these with my Ipad and scarlet guitar interface. My amp sims sound crystal clear and LOUD. I bet they would also work great as BT speakers or computer speakers.

Good sound in a compact package
It was easy to set up. I only wish the speaker cables were a few feet longer as I can't position the on the outside of a three monitor setup.

Monoprice DT-4BT 60-Watt Multimedia Desktop Powered Speakers with Bluetooth
I hooked the speakers to my laptop and they sound really good. Have not tried the bluetooth on them yet, but don't really plan to.

They're Excellent.
I really like these speakers. They're small enough to be fairly unobtrusive on my desktop, but large enough to produce very decent quality sound. They are quality-built and for the price, I don't think you can beat them.

Good Sound
I was a little worried the DT-4BT would not be loud or low enough and I would wish I had purchased the DT-5BT but these sound really good and with a smaller footprint fit my desk better than the larger speakers. I have only had them a couple weeks but so far so good.
