BEST ANSWER: Appears to fit most standard monitors and TVs, the diagram on the product page shows hole spacing and style. It may not fit some configurations such as tablet docking stations.

Does this mount allow for vertical flattening against the wall, or is the horizontal flattening the only option to move it back further?

If the bottom hinge is turned all the way to the left or right, the plate the monitor attaches to can be rotated right or left to position this mount behind the screen.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, you would have to check if your iMac has built-in VESA mounting options. Most iMacs come with built-in stands and are not made with VESA mounting points. Those would need special adapters to work with VESA compatible mounts. Some iMacs might have VESA, like those sold here: https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-mac/imac-vesa
Also, you would need to confirm that the weight of your specific model is within the recommended max capacity of 15.4 lbs. Thanks.

Does this mount have a lock to secure it in place so it doesn't move?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the adjustable arm does not have a lock and instead uses a gas spring to provide counter balance force. This keeps the monitor suspended in the position you set it to, and keeps it easily adjustable without having to unlock anything. Hope this helps, thanks.

Does this product come with screws for attaching the mount to the monitor?

BEST ANSWER: Hello and thank you for your question. This does come with two sets of screws, but you will need to check to make sure the screws will fit the threads in the monitor. The screws provided fit most monitors.

The gas spring is way too tight, takes a lot of force on the lowest setting to move down and springs back up with too much force. Is this a production error? Or am I missing something?

Will this work with the Dark Matter by Monoprice 34in Curved Ultra-Wide Gaming Monitor (Product # 40776)? I know it says 27", but usually these are based on weight. The monitor says it's 15.4 pounds, but I also assume that is with the stand (which is quite heavy) so I would bet it's down to at least 10 pounds without the stand.

Great TV mount
This works great for my unusual situation. I attached it to the lower end of my vaulted ceiling, so I needed an arm that pulls out from the wall/ceiling and tilts up, not down. It worked out great!

Just what I needed!!
Just what I need for my workshop to get the monitor off my bench. It mounted into a poured concrete wall very nicely with the provide hardware!

Not what I was hoping for :(
Gas spring is way too tight even on lowest setting. Not sure if this is a production error or not. Im unable to adjust the height without a LOT of force and the spring pushes back way too much. Perhaps this is a production error. Will be returning once I replace with something that works as expected.

Rolltop desk appication
When I ordered Adjustable Gas Spring 1-Segment Wall Mount, I thought I read a review that said it worked for a rolltop desk. When I got the unit it was too small to work. (I was wrong about the review for this unit) I made it work anyway. I used a Kreg Pocket Hole Jig to drill 2 holes in the top and 2 in the bottom of a 2"x3" board that fits in between the desk and the top. Works pretty good and gives me a lot of space under the monitor I did not have before with a regular stand

Great quality, exactly what I wanted for my task.
I use this articulating arm to mount our security monitor in my office to provide me with the ability 'adjust' as needed to view.
Very easy to follow instructions and very simple to install. Took me approx. 10 minutes to mount.
This was/is a great purchase for what I wanted/needed.
I highly recommend this item/company if you need this type of item.

Excellent mount
Mount was basically simply to install and nicely supports our 27 inch monitor. My only issue is that we installed over a fairly narrow desk and it positions the monitor closer than I like, but by pushing back and slightly to the side, we made it work, and it is comfortable at that location.
