The official spec on TOSLINK cables is that the maximum length is 10M with an expected practical maximum length of 5M... How is this cable going to reach 100'???
I was a little worried about whether or not the signal/beam/light would be strong enough to carry through a cable of this length, but it's worked like a charm so far! Plugging my computer TOSLINK output into my Receiver input, allowing me to put my computer in another room entirely! With the help of 6532, 6042 and copious amounts of CAT6E!
I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality of this cable when it arrived. The fancy metal connectors on each end have considerable weight which really helped when I ran them behind the walls, they just dropped straight down without even having to use my fish tape. The metal ends and sheathing really give you the impression that this cable is built to last and it performs great even at 100'!
This is an amazing cable. It works, the zeros, and ones get there, but that is not what makes this cable great. It's construction is terrific. I could go repelling with this cable. It's metal construction makes nearly impossible to bend and permanently damage. I've accidentally set down heavy antique furniture with tiny metal casters on the cable, and it's fine. Lastly, a couple of people have actually commented on how cool and professional the cable and they assume it casts over a hundred dollars.
Additional Info:I actually only bought the 25' cable, but I believe these are all the same quality.
