Will these work with solid wire? Will they work with 23 gauge wire?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, they work well with Monoprice 23AWG solid CAT6 500Mhz UTP. Installed 30 on a recent project with no trouble. Strip and lay out about 2" of wire in the correct orientation - cut at a 45 so they are staggered and they slide in nicely.

These ONLY work for CAT6 solid wire. Not for stranded or any other gauge.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
These plugs are specifically for Cat 6 connectors.
You would have to use something like #34417 or #34418.

When using Monoprice crimper 34416, works great with 6a cable. Does *not* work when using Platinum Tools EZ-RJPRO HD crimper, but I am coming to hate that crimper anyways.

Does it come with load bar since it's staggered?

BEST ANSWER: It does not, it relies on some small internal grooves to keep the wires headed to the right holes. Can be tricky to get lined up every time because of that.

On the reviews page for this product, Jason C posted a close-up picture of the product. It looks like you feed each wire through separately. Is that so?

I need this to fit a cat 6 23AWG cable that will be used on consumer devices. If this is not possible, can you recommend a cat 5e plug that will fit a 23AWG cat6 cable?

Great Quality - Great Value
Found these RJ45 pass-thru connectors (meaning cable comes out the front as opposed to having to cut level prior to insertion) work perfectly.. and the value is VERY good! The trick to these "EZ" is to have a good termination tool with a sharp cutter blade to cleanly cut the cable-feed-thru off level with the front of the 45.

Works great, would recommend for anyone running Cat6
I would recommend this if you're running Cat6. I Used mono's Cat6 Solid, works perfectly with it. My first few I screwed up because I approached it the same as I would Cat5e, and that was a mistake :)
Here's some tips that worked for me:
Cut back plenty of sheathing, like 2-3+ inches.
Untwist and straighten each individual pair/wire.
Insert each wire.
Pull all wires together through the plug and make sure nothing is getting bent or compressed inside the plug.
Once you've pulled all the slack you can and the sheathing is up inside the plug, snip it (I used my RJ45 crimpers I got back a long time ago for cat5 to cut the excess which left me with about 1/4" of wires poking through the end).
Then take a flat edge (like the pocket knife everyone has) and just push and pull the excess 1/4" back into the plug just enough so you don't have wires sticking out the end and crimp.
I needed to run several hundred feet of Cat6 for POE cameras. I didn't have a single failure on any crimp and although it would take about 3-5 minutes per crimp, it was still faster than the other style which has the carrier tray you snap the wires into first etc.
(I did have 1 plug so far that was malformed, but I caught it before I crimped)

Easy to get it right - the first time.
As a novice cable creator, I tried several different connectors from different firms. Without exception, these connectors were the easiest to iuse. They enabled getting the connection correct the first time - 100% of the time.

Great product-Monoprice shipping sucks
As is always the case, the products are excellent and very reasonably priced (most of the time). This item works well and is easy to push cable through. The biggest problem is with Monoprice default shipping. They use the awful and sloooowwww UPS Mail Innovations or FedEx SmartPost. The upcharge costs for faster shipping are way overpriced. Monoprice could do all of their customers a favor and stop using these terrible shipping methods.

Works Great with the CAT 6 Bulk UTP Cable ( 23ga )-sold here
Works Great with the Bulk (non-Stranded) 23AWG- Cat6 cable sold here.
After looking at the PIC of the connector(Jason C- post) I was worried feeding Cable thru would be hard.
***But it was Real Easy****...Just give it a good push with a small wiggle. Making sure not to catch the outer Covering as you go.
Every once in awhile 1 wire will try to bunch up on you but a simple realign of the wires and re-push usually works.
I am using old CAT5e - Crimps to Crimp..with not problems so far.
I cut ends off w/old crimps also. It leaves a small bit hanging out.
But if you are worried about Corrosion or short just put a dab of Clear RTV on the ends......

Works great with Monoprice crimp tool.
Extremely high crimp failure rate when using EZ-RJPRO HD tool. Moderate chance of cable failure when crimped by said tool with these particularly crimps.
When using the Monoprice crimper product #34416, crimps very smoothly and have not had failed crimp yet.

Worked fine
These work fine with my Klein vdv226-110 tool using 23 awg Monoprice riser cat6. The holes are staggered instead of in a line like others, I find it easier to push 23awg through.
