Are the wires soldered to the banana plugs?

BEST ANSWER: As far as I can tell they are not soldered. When you unscrew the outer shell the inner portion appears to be held in place with set screws.

With great speakers, there is a need for equal speaker wire.
If you buy a high-end car you need high-end tires. The music coming from my speakers is as good as is expected.
