I wouldn't use the immersive for the rear channels unless you have a system that needs up firing drivers. I think there is another set of bookshelf type speakers that might work better. If you are trying to make a full system that uses THX Certified speakers, then these aren't it, but they are decent speakers. The should work very well in mid-range systems as satellites, surrounds, or rear channel speakers. As the quality of your system moves up speakers like these should move back, and they wouldn't work well in a high end environment as their shortcomings would be showcased. (too much in the middle and not enough base).
Mine are still a little tight sounding and have more mids and less lows than I would like, but I expect that to change a little after break-in. Once they break in I expect to have decent middle of the road performance from them that pairs well with my sub-woofer. They are good inexpensive solidly performing speakers.

These are solid speakers and sound great. It doesn't look like the top grill is meant to be removed easily -the fabric is likely glued in there (I wouldn't suggest it).

Hello! Could you please publish the measurements according to "Spinorama CEA 2034-A-2015 (ANSI)" standard?
These speakers look great with THX Ultra certification and you even started publishing a bit of measurements for the listening window. As you know that your horizontal dispersion is well designed, please provide the data in a proper CEA 2034-A-2015 (ANSI) graph to support the claim. Then these speakers will go on top of the recommendation list with probably unbeatable combination of objective measurements, price and design.

True, a review by James Larson at Audioholics could actually show the CEA2034 measurements. Strange thing is that you most likely have high quality CEA2034 graphs right now (as you did publish the listening window), but your customers will need to look at the certainly less optimal Audioholics measurements instead. Have a nice day!

Can these be wall mounted in a home theatre setup?

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
Unfortunately we would not have anything you can use to wall mount these speakers and they would not have the holes on the back necessary to mount it on a speaker wall mount like #6979.
It may be possible but it would not be something that is easy to find.

How to make these speakers wireless?
A shopper
on Jul 7, 2021
BEST ANSWER: I presume that you wish to have a pair of wireless speakers. I have a semi-wireless set up for my rear speakers in my surround system. You will need a 2 channel power amp. Connect a wireless transmitter to the AV receiver (I have it connected to the rear outputs). Connect the wireless receiver to the 2 channel amp. Of course, you need wires to connect the amp to the speakers (hence semi-wireless) I bought the wireless transmitter-receiver set from SVS (SoundPath Wireless Audio Adapter).

Incredible Speakers
Using these as Rear Surrounds with the ability to add Rear Atmos Upfiring in the future. Complete overkill, but at sale prices it was way less expensive than anything comparable on the market.
I hope Monoprice continues to sell Monolith Speakers & Subs because they are incredible values and performers.

Good but 365T is better
I have both a pair of 265B and 365T speakers. My original intent was to use the 365s for my front LR channels, and use the 265s for surrounds. I ended up going with the monolith satellite speakers for surrounds, but kept these as well. For bookshelf speakers, the 265s are actually really good, impressive even considering the cost. That being said, the 365Ts sound so much better for just a bit more money. I've used both in the same room, with same settings, played with EQ curves on both, etc.
If you have a little extra cash and a little extra space, go for the 365Ts over these.

What's not to like
Amazing period.... incredible value
These speakers are quality.
At first I only bought the THX 365 T and 365C thinking my current rear atmos speakers would be sufficient.
I was so blown away by the 365 T and 365 C that I ordered these a week later.
I've been looking at the monolith speakers and magazine and web reviews for about a year and when black Friday came around I took the plunge.
Running this 5.1.4 system with a pioneer Elite VSX- LX503 AVR I couldn't be more happy.
The other system I was considering would've cost me 30% more for a front LR and center without the atoms speakers on the front LR. Paired with the 365T and 365C this is a incredible sounding system that is a extremely high valve even at the regular price, the black Friday deal made it a no brainer.
Thank you monoprice.
Please continue making the excellent monolith products.
If I could afford to I would replace the rest of my system with your great processor and amps.
Maybe one of these days.

If I could afford to I would replace the rest of my system with your great processor and amps.
Maybe one of these days.

Rated 4 out of 5
At this price, slap yourself if you haven't already bought them!
Ahhh no, the little guys havent gotten any love yet? I actually wish they had, as I think most people would rate these as a 5 star product, and I hate to bring the rating down with a measly 4. Honestly, I feel like they should be more like 4.5 than a 4. I also want to caveat that Im rating these vs. the other THX Monolith speakers and subwoofers which are rated at THX Ultra rather than Select (which is the rating for these speakers). And, my room is not Select sizedits Ultra sized. Furthermore, all of those other speakers have an additional woofer and a midrange speaker. As such, theres going to be a bit of a difference here.
Here are my gripes: (a) I missed the huge sale going on now (price match policy is 7 days and I was just outside that window), and (b) there is a tonal difference vs. the mini towers. Thats it.
In my setup, the ideal location for my surrounds is at a stud, so I was able to mount the big boy mini towers. For the rear surrounds I only had drywall that I could secure my mounts to. Though I have fancy drywall fasteners rated for ridiculous amounts of weight, Im still skeptical and these weigh quite a bit less than the mini towers. Plus, your rear surround doesnt (generally speaking) get the same level of use or the same types of sounds as your other speakersso they can be a bit mismatched vs. the rest of the system. With those considerations in mind, I went with these for the rears.
As mentioned theres a physical difference here in that its a 2 way rather than a 3 way speaker designthese actually have 2 fewer speakers than the mini towers. When calibrating my speakers the sound was pretty much identical around my room until you got to these, and they sounded (as expected) just a little less full. But, thats just when youre sending the exact signal to all speakers (i.e. calibrating or stereo mode). For how Im using them youd never hear a difference. Clear? Check. Loud? Check. Rich? Check. All other subjective terms that I can make up? Check. I wouldnt hesitate to build an entire system off of these. Because of their size, you really could, and--assuming youre not in a really big roomthey will knock your socks off. In the right sized room, one of the THX center channels, 4 of these, and a 10 or 12 Monolith sub and youd have an amazing 5.1 system (not even considering the extra Dolby speakers up topis that 5.1.4 at that point?). And, all of that could be had for under $2,000. Can you even buy a single THX speaker from another brand at that price?
That said, I didnt catch the amazing sale, and so I paid about $75 each more than theyre listed now (which was $25 less than what I paid for the center channels). For me, not yet utilizing Dolby in my room (and thus the additional speaker up top isnt yet providing me value), thats too close in price to the center channel for the difference in performance. Lets be clear though, thats not to say that these speakers are not worth what I paid for them and then some. Its just an oddity resulting from a company pumping out amazing products at unbelievable prices, and not catching the sale!

The "Little Guys" (that are actually nearly the size of my old Boston HD8s)
