BEST ANSWER: It appears you are looking at already terminated patch cords. Patch cords are intened for shorter distances. If running through the wall / ceiling then it is customary to use CMR bulk cable for residental that is then terminated at each end. CMP can be used in place of CMR, but is not required for single dwellings. CMP is called for in commercial and other settings where a fire could release toxic gases harming occupants.

The spec sheet that is posted for this item shows that it is wired as a cross over cable.
Can you confirm if this is not crossover, but actually a straight thru cable, and if it is wired as T568A or T568B? The reason that I care if it is A or B is since we intend to chop these cables in half and wire one end to a control panel. So we would prefer to match the wire colors to our existing standard.

I'm looking at the spec sheet for Monoprice Cat5e Ethernet Patch Cable - Snagless RJ45, Stranded, 350Mhz, UTP, Pure Bare Copper Wire, 24AWG, 10ft, Black Product # 3384 and it is showing a wiring diagram for a crossover cable, which is not what I want.

Budget Friendly and High Quality
It's 10ft of Ethernet cable and it works. Jacketing is nice and has a short stickout if you are working in tighter spaces.

Great Cable for a good price
Great quality cable. Only issue is a piece of rubber under the thing you have to press on to pop it out, can be a bit annoying but thats just nitpicking.
