Can someone provide the dimensions of the frame? Specifically, the size of the opening in the center.

BEST ANSWER: The inside opening is not square. It is 5 11/16" at the top and 5 1/8" at the bottom. The opening is 6" in the center from top to bottom. The outside measurements are 8 13/16" at the top and 8" at the bottom. The outside measurement from the middle to the lip is 8 1/4". When I opened the box I thought it seemed small but it is heavy powder coated steel and has worked really well with my 15.6" Lenovo Flex 5 and Flex 3 laptops.

External dimensions are 9"x9"; when the frame is adjusted to it's tallest position it is about 8" off the desk. The opening isn't completely rectangular: it's 5" wide at the bottom (narrowest point) and 5.75" wide at the top (widest point). The opening is 6" high, but is arced.

Because the item is not a perfect square the opening top to bottom in the middle is 6" and side to side in the middle is 5 1/2"

Why wouldn't this work for 17" laptop? Seems like it would still work.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the 15" screen size is just the recommended max. 17" laptops should still work with this, but there would just be more overhang. Probably not an issue if mainly using for viewing, like for propping up the laptop to use as an extra display, but could be less stable if the laptop keyboard will still be used for typing. Thanks for checking.

The stand is very strong, and I would say, very capable of working with a 17" laptop.

It looks very bent. Seems like my laptop might not sit level?

BEST ANSWER: You are meant to use an external keyboard and mouse, while using the screen as a monitor. People will often use this type of stand with an external monitor as well so you have more screen space while typing at your desk.

Will this work with an 11 inch laptop? Why is it bent?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the top and bottom surfaces of this stand are flat, so there shouldn't be any issues with using it with your laptop. There are stoppers at the front that are bent or folded upwards from the main surface and used to support the laptop when the stand is used at an angle. The back portion has a curved design.
an 11 inch laptop would work with this stand. The supporting surface is 8.9" wide, you can check the linked diagram (link at the bottom of the product page) for more details. Thanks for checking.

Works as it should
It works well enough for my 14? MacBook. Needed a laptop stand and got a laptop stand.

Look elsewhere
The settings are very extreme and it wobbles. Also digs into my wrists.

Decent for the price.
Pretty good for the price. I wish the front tabs were a bit taller to help hold up the front of the laptop when its tilted up. Probably will be ok but as the angle tilts up it looks like it could get dislodged easily.

2 of 3 positions unusable for Mac
It only adjusts to three positions, two (taller positions) of which do not allow a Mac Air to open fully, so the screen points to your lap. Unusable for a Mac Air.

I'd prefer if this had more notches for finer adjustability. However the stand's build quality is good.

perfect simple solution
I have this on my desk to dock my 15" laptop in tablet mode while I use a keyboard and monitor at work. It is a very sturdy, well built piece of equipment at a great price. If you don't need a ll the bells and whistles of an infinitely adjustable stand, this is great! hold my laptop ( in tablet mode) securely even though it's a little thicker than the stand.
