Can it be attached upside down on the desk such that the power strip gets hidden under the desk?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: Assuming you are using a standard width power strip (so that it is held securely by the spring clamp that holds the power strip) then I don't see any reason you couldn't mount it upside down. That said, the screw clamp that attaches it to the desk would then be fully visible on top of the desk, so calling it "hidden" would be a matter of interpretation. An alternative approach would be to use stick-on Velcro to attach the power strip directly to the bottom of the desk. I have done this and it works well for me.

Yes, but the top of the vice grip will be sticking up on top of the table.

Is the clamp adjustable?
A shopper
on Sep 6, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi, yes the clamp openings adjust some. The screw clamp that attaches to a desk works with tops from 0.4 - 2 inches thick. The spring clamp that holds the power strip or USB Hub works with devices 1.6 - 2.4 inches wide.
Hope this helps, thanks.

Does the part that holds the power strip rotate? I want to attach it to the front of the table, not the back. Also, what is the thickness of the vertical plastic part that is behind the metal clamp? Thanks.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the top part does not rotate, so you might be limited to attaching the product to the side or to face backwards. The plastic cover is around 1/4"

Solid construction and versatile
Solidly constructed and strong. Plastic seems rigid and not flimsy. Can be used for power strips but also usb hubs and has even served as an impromptu pen holder. Only wish was that it can in black or other colors.

Looks great and works pretty good. My power strip is pretty long so you have to hold it steady when you plug stuff in, other wise it slips out of the clamp.
