Takes some set-up time, as it doesn't work for everything right out of the box. Adjust blades based on the cable you're cutting. Once set-up, it works wonderfully. I had roughly 20 RG6 connections. For the price, you can't go wrong.
This tool is very handy for stripping RG6. It does take a bit of fine tuning of the Allen bolts on the bottom of the tool, and it still took me 3 or 4 uses before I felt like I knew what I was doing. But the price, it's pretty great. I went out and bought a 2nd one right after, just for a backup!
Stripper worked great with minimal adjustment. Out of the pack, it cut a little of the outer wire insulation, however, a minimal adjustment with the include wrench fixed that issue. Afterwards, every use was excellent. I wouldn't think it would need to be touched again until a new roll of coax is bought.
PROS: Adjustable depths Cleanly stripped sections of cable Exact amount of material removed in each stage
This really is a gem of a tool. It works extremely well, is compatible with multiple cable types, has adjustable blade heights for those "slightly off" cables and it's much less expensive than many like it. Feels really solid in the hand, too. I love it!
Perfect cut for RG-6 Quad shielded cable, every time. I simply put the coaxial cable in, turn it the correct direction a few times, and it cuts to the perfect depth every time. I fold back the shielding and terminate on some compression F-Connectors and get great signal.
PROS: Perfect cut for RG-6 Quad shielded cable, every time.
