BEST ANSWER: As Cedric said it does work with the Tough Cable and that is pretty think cat6 compared to your typical cat6 cable. Also this works with the Ubiquiti grounded cat6 plugs for the outdoor application of this cable.

It should work. It worked well with Ubiquiti Tough cable and connector. In fact, of about 8 other crimpers, it was the only one that did.

There should be a video of this tool in action...?

BEST ANSWER: There is not. If it is ethernet you use the middle option with the plug facing upward and make sure it is pushed as far as it will let you and squeeze tight (I do it twice) and make sure your cable jacket is inside the crip connector you are using. These are one of the only pairs that work with grounded butt connectors as well.

will this crimper work with the #7266 Cat6 plugs (which don't have the additional strand-crimping window in the middle, as the # 7245 Cat5 plugs do )? There were reviews about one of the toolkit crimpers crushing the plugs, suggesting that they are not multi-purpose dies. I can find no other crimpers here that specifically list compatibility with "Cat6" (AMP?) plugs like these.

Works Great
Works great. Used it with Ubiquiti direct burial and their RJ-45 ESD connectors.

Excellent Crimp Tool
This is by far the best crimp tool I've purchased or used. The ratcheting feature makes it a breeze to use, and it's easy to do without straining your hand.

Durable & Strong
I now only use this crimping tool. I keep my Klein Tools in the tool box as a back up, but this one works with all of your standard connections and those pesky grounded plugs for outdoor CAT6 Cable runs. Used these for some Nano Beam installs for outdoor application in construction yard.

HT-2008AR Crimp Tool
I was seeking this tool for a long time and finally found it at Monoprice.
I bought this tool mainly to use with the Ubiquiti RJ-45 connector with ESD ground wire.
Yesterday I used it on a project and it completely meets my expectations.
It is well constructed and the price is right.
I will buy yet one for spare.

I would recommend this product to any one that wants Quality performance, easy to use at a reasonable cost.
I recommend this product, I have used other Modular Crimps but the Quality and the functionality of the crimps are superior to any other brand I have used.

We bought these based on recommendation of a shielded cat RG45 connector manufacturer staying these would work.... Not so. Don't really like the ratcheting action, we prefer a steady crimp action to fill stop and release.

Works with Ubiquiti Tough Cable TC-GND Connectors
Bought this in the hope that it would crimp the Ubuiquiti Tough Cable connectors with the grounding cable attached. (TC-GND) It does. Well made and a bargain compared to the only other crimper I could find with the same capability at over 4x the cost. I saw where other people have purchased it with the same hope, but did not see where anyone had specifically stated it works in a review. So here it is. It does work with the TC-GND connector from Ubiquiti.

Pretty darn good
For the most part, they just work. Haven't had a mis-crimp yet.
PROS: All-in-one cut/strip/crimp
CONS: Opposite the cut blade is a pair for stripping that cut too far into cat5 cable causing a loss of about a 1/2" of cable each time you cut. There is a separate strip blade for round cable that works well, but no positive stop (have to eyeball it). Would be nice to have a bit of adjustment in the stripping blades.

Buyer beware
CONS: Tool blade does not stay locked in position. Easily comes unlocked and can fall out. Razor does not consistently or cleaning terminate wires when punching down.
