Description says pair.. does that mean for 2 speakers?
A shopper
on Mar 10, 2019
They come 2 per bag. For instance; I ordered qty 2, and received 4 interconnects. So I was able to connect 4 speakers.

How do these differ from Monoprice's Affinity Premium speaker cables? (I asked the reverse question on the Affinity cable's page. But I added a picture of Monolith subwoofer cables instead of these.)

Monoprice Speaker Wire, Braided with Banana Plugs, 2-Conductor, 14AWG, 3ft
BEST ANSWER: Thicker wiring, heavier connectors. Significantly nicer for a smaller price up charge. Running these to my Dolby Atmos modules on my Def-Tech towers. Nice nice cable, looks and feels a lot nicer than my $400 audioquest terminated sets

Since these Monolith do not go beyond 10ft, can I mix them with Affinity ones in a 5.1 system for the back? Or should I just buy Affinity for all?

BEST ANSWER: The front three channels are, by far, the most important. Go ahead and use the Monolith cables up front. the effects channels will be fine with the Affinity cables. Use the Affinity subwoofer cable, product #3976, for your sub. The coax design is better for low frequency transmission. I use the Monolith cables in my Schiit, Emotiva, & Monitor Audio system and am quite pleased with the performance.

since these are higher quality, use these for your front speakers. at the end of the day, unless you have high end amp and sources, you probably won't hear the difference.

I noticed that the banana plugs screw on and off. Is it possible to change the connectors on one end to a pin connector and what would I need to do that? Looks like it should be a simple switch.

Is there a way these cables can be used to connect a 'bi-wired' speaker (two sets of positive and negative terminals) to a single positive/negative on an amp? Both ends of these cables have positive and negative split. I need one end to be joined into a single tip OR be able to use either positive or negative for the amp. Any ideas?

These appear to be identical to the 14AWG Monolith speaker cables with spade connectors, which I have. Are the banana connectors interchangeable, so I can buy a pair of these and make two mixed pairs (banana plugs on amp end, and spades on speaker end)?

Excellent cables!!
Excellent cables they are very well made and heavy duty, I like them because the whole cable is air free due to the way they make them.
Highly recommend..

So far so good. Cable is solidly made with nice quality terminations. I have not yet performed a sound or audio comparison yet, but I plan on it.

Great quality cable
I don't know if I am just hearing things, but I swear the intro music to some shows sounded better after installing these in our home theater speakers. I don't have a super high-end system, but I have a decent mid-level system w/ an HK receiver and Definitive Technology Mythos speakers. I felt like I could hear the difference upgrading to these cables from some homemade cables based on Blue Jean cable 14 or 12 gauge speaker wire.

Really great cable solution!
Got these with some new tower speakers and didn't want the mess of speaker wires. They were a little bit of a tight fit going into my Sony receiver, but they fit snugly and everything is very clean and sounds amazing. Worth it!
