No, its not active fiber but will work for a 30 ft. run with the projector. It has worked fine for me.

My understanding is that this cable is 100% copper passive and without active fiber optic circuitry.

Is this compatible with hdmi 2.1? Specifically compatible with a PS5 console
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: HDR doesn’t work for me with this cable from a PS5 to a Samsung hdmi 2.1 TV. It does display not HDR video though so you need to decide what’s important to you. At this length, HDR is very very tricky.

This cable will support Dolby digital plus/Atoms that streaming services use over ARC. eARC is needed for Dolby true HD/Atmos

Is this cable compatible with Xbox 1? I just want to hook it up to a theatre projector.

on May 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Yes. XBOX ONE has standard HDMI ports and this cable has a standard HDMI connector. Note that depending on your configuration, it may matter that there is only one XBOX HDMI out port, so connecting to a projector and a display (for example) would mean acquiring a splitter of some sort or (in my opinion better) a switcher. Monoprice has both -- if needed. This is the best cable I have found in terms of speed and I swear by it/them.

Are these cables signal directional? I'm not seeing any marks on mine, but I don't want to run this cable through my attic until I figure this out.

BEST ANSWER: I can’t tell you whether this particular HDMI is directional. However I will say, I’ve found Monoprice to be a TOP NOTCH company and if they don’t have it specifically marked - it most likely is not directional. (The rule of thumb is to look at the writing on the cable and have the data move I. The direction of the writing). Also there is an excellent article about the subject of directional HDMI at The home theater diy site
Hope this helps.

No sound when trying to get eARC to work.
I've got a new LG CX 65 OLED TV and hooked this cord up to a Yamaha RX-V685. I enabled eARC and ARC output on the TV and on the receiver but I'm getting no sound at all. I thought this cord should support eARC. Shouldn't this be supported?

can't handle 4k HDR at 30ft
This is a cable with good build quality, but I bought it to run 4k HDR video on the 30ft version, and it cannot handle that. It can only do 4k without HDR, or 1080p with HDR.

It's a cable.
Used it to replace another HDMI cable which couldn't transmit a strong enough signal. Works great!

Works great for a 30ft. run from HDMI Splitter
Works as expected with a 1080p output from a HDMI Splitter to a HDMI input of a Video Switcher. Recommended. Good value.

Bullet proof
This is a heavy duty cable, but I ran it through 20 feet of 1 1/2 conduit that had some speaker wires in it without any trouble. Excellent picture on my OLED 4K 65 tv.

Solid hdmi cable
Cable works for what i was hoping. Able to get 1440 120fps from my Xbox to my monitor. Wish there was a 50ft version. My only complaint is the cable itself is super thick and almost difficult to manage with my other cables. Couldn't put my monitor all the way down without bending the cable at the input site.

30ft, HDMO2.0 cert cable, Performs well, good quality, larger than expected
This review if for a 30ft certified Monoprice HDMI 2.0 cable. I did check the hologram label with the HDMI.org app for authenticity, the app worked and the cable was genuine. The quality is good and it performs well at 1080p. I don't have a 4K projector yet so can't comment on 4K performance. Also my projector does not have a speaker so did not test ARC. The sheath diameter is larger than expected, a small negative otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars. I have not put it in the wall yet. I hope there is room in my conduit!

Does not support ARC even though advertised
Tried every setting with the 30' cable with both a receiver and a TV that support both eARC and ARC and no audio worked with this cable. Picture was fine and other features, but no audio return from the TV.
