What is the minimum bend radius for this optical cable?
Jacob R
on Jul 6, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hey Jacob, I didn't buy a 35 foot cable but did buy a 15" and I had a lot to coil together and slip into a 2 inch by 4 inch electrical cutout in the wall when remodeling and I did about a 8 inch coil and squeezed it lightly enough to get it into the hole and it didn't affect it at all. I tested it after words before closing it up and it worked fine. I say just don't bend the heck out of it and you should be fine, don't ever bend it together to tightly or something that would affect the cable to break and you'll be fine. Hey their tougher than you think, you'd really have to bend and twist the heck out of it before you'd damage it I believe. I done like I wrote and the worst thing that could happen is if you cut it, then you'll have to purchase a new one. Otherwise just be careful with it. hope this helped you and others, it isn't that fragile.

I have the Monoprice SB-200SW Premium Slim Soundbar, but I want more punch from the bass. Can I use this sub with a Digital Optical Audio Cable split to feed the soundbar and the sub with a Monoprice S/PDIF (Toslink) Digital Optical Audio Splitter and a conversion from digital to analog for the RCA cable connection to the sub?

Monoprice S/PDIF (Toslink) Digital Optical Audio Cable, 35ft
A very good cable. I can't make up my mind whether not having the outer end ring (each Toslink terminal end) rotate is a plus or a minus. In one case I was positioning just one end quite deep in a recess area (about 2' deeper in front of my chest) and I preferred inserting the end as it was "stable" and would not rotate, but if you are inserting and making a connection very near you --- that is, you are able to reach the connection point easily and close without stretching out towards the connection connection point --- which I was at the other end of the cable --- then having rotation might be better. Performance is very good --- likely at or near the best audibly (if not technically) it can be --- and it appears well designed and quality manufactured. Relative ease snaking through a 31' tube (1 1/2" across) because it had just the right flexibility to make 35+ degree turns, but some ridgeness to help draw it through. A 4 if you can use a fixed rather than rotating ends.

Great cable
Better than expected. Jacketing is very thick and robust. Worked well for my PC to receiver audio connection.

Optical cable, 35 foot
Working well. I installed it between a TV and an amplifier on the other side of the room. Added a connector to the network wall plates and strung the cable in the wall and in the basement. Used a couple of short optical cables to connect the TV and amplifier to the wall plates. Cable was a little longer than I needed so just coiled the excess up and stuck it in the wall.

This worked just as advertised! Has made my new "smart TV" A/V system work through my whole sound system just as planned!

Cables work great with my 4K TV. I had a lot of issues with other cables on Amazon. Thanks!
