What is voltage rating?

BEST ANSWER: Its Class 2 wire. Which means it can handle voltages up to 150V. I am using it to drive 70V speakers. Works great.

CL2 is rated for up to 150 volts while CL3 is rated for up to 300 volts. (NEC 725.71 F) According to NEC 725.2, CL2 offers some protection from electric shock while CL3 offers a bit more because it is rated to carry more voltage. CL3 may be used in place of CL2, but not the other way around. Enter an answer to this question.

From what I know, they're not rated for voltage. It's only a concern when connected to very high current amplifiers then you'll need a bigger wire like the 12AWG's.

This is good wire if you are putting it in walls or ceilings. I haven't found any better CL2 rated wire.

As expected, with one potential improvement possible

This wire was what I expected. The only thing I would have liked to see is the exterior white jacket shrunk tighter around the two speaker wires within, resulting in a slightly smaller outer diameter. This would have made things just a little bit easier snaking through the conduits I have. As received, the two wires (red and black) can easily slide inside the outer white jacket. This is a minor detail however, and I would purchase again.

Good value!

I bought this speaker wire to replace the wire included with a home theater system. This wire looks nice, white to blend in with the baseboard, and very easy to work with. Definitely a good value.
