To be honest, I purchased similar wire a few years back and this quality is not as good. It works fine, but the cable is just a little flimsy.

I actually purchased 100' of this cable to add 2 external speakers over my new Trex Deck. I reviewed the specs and found it to be equal to the cable that the pros were using. I would have to buy a 500 ft box of that cable if I wanted it. So I went on the internet and found this monoprice cable that I could buy as little as 50 ft. For that job, I needed 100 ft do I bought the 100ft roll. I loved the monoprice price and also liked the red and black covered copper conductors. My receiver and speakers have red and black connections so the monoprice cable matched the red for positive and black for negative. Next I bought more of this same cable and rewired the two surround speakers which had copper covered aluminum wires which affected the sound quality. The improvement in the sound quality was noticeable. I recommend this monoprice cable for a good quality sound at a great price. The only negative I can say is that it ships from CA and takes 7 to 10 days to go cross country for free shipping.

A reviewer said that the wire was broken somewhere so he had to rewire his speakers again.

I had no problem with my reels. Because of the review, I tested the wires for continuity before hooking them up and found no issue.

I would give it 5 stars except for the fact that the sleeve the wires are encased in is the same size as the 4 conductor wires. I was hoping it was thinner but this is a minor issue.

This is very good high quality wire. I am actually using it to power a small DC motor. Works great!

Worked well in rewiring my entertainment center. Wire is colored red and black making speaker connections easy.

Luckily, this 16AWG wire is accurate in length measurement. I used it for a 30ft wiring of my rear speaker. It seems fine.

I really like the cable. Very easy to cut and easily can tell the difference of color. Like the fact has a small string to cut the jack off. Would recommend it to other people. I don't have nothing bad to say.
